Wrexham striker Paul Mullin has now revealed what impressive thing Ryan Reynolds does that pleases him after every game.

Wrexham have gone from strength to strength since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney tookover the club in February 2021.

They’ve done some special things during their time as owners, including reuniting a broken fanbase, donating thousands to charity, increasing the club’s global appeal with their investment and achieving back-to-back promotions.

One transfer that has helped them achieve incredible amounts of success on the pitch was luring Paul Mullin to the Racecourse Ground in the summer of 2021, signing him from League One side Cambridge United.

Their ambition to sign the Liverpudlian would foreshadow years of success, with the 29-year-old reaching incredible heights in front of goal.

Having broken the century mark in a Wrexham shirt, Mullin is now one goal away from equalling Alan Shearer’s impressive record of 25 goals scored in four consecutive seasons as supporters brace themselves for a season finale against Stockport County.

Paul Mullin says Ryan Reynolds does something impressive after every game

Speaking ahead of this afternoon’s clash, Mullin has praised McElhenney and Reynolds for the love and devotion they share for the football club.

Many owners of football clubs don’t share a passion towards the team they own and won’t take time out of their day to interact with the supporters or players.

That statement couldn’t be any further from the truth at Wrexham, with the Hollywood superstars constantly interacting on social media to celebrate wins while commenting on the players’ performances.

Mullin has even claimed that Reynolds is the first one to text him after each game, and this just shows how special he is.

“I think Rob’s intending to be there,” Mullin told The Guardian. “But they’re always there in spirit, and online, at every game. As soon as we leave the pitch, Ryan’s the first to text me, even before my missus.”

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have built a positive culture at Wrexham

The Hollywood owners may spend most of their time a thousand miles away, but as Mullin said, they’re always there in spirit and their actions demonstrate how much they care.

Having donated to several worthy causes since arriving in Wales – including a five-figure donation to a Mansfield Town fan – it shows they’re not just amazing owners, they’re also great people.

This culture has trickled onto the pitch during their time at the club, as seen by back-to-back promotions and how well the players get along with each other.

And for as long as they continue to promote a positive culture and show how much they care, Wrexham will continue to achieve success.
