Wrexham are looking to build a bright future under Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds, but those plans have suffered a setback.
Wrexham have snapped up 10 new signings this summer, investing serious money in Phil Parkinson’s first-team squad.
Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds continue to back Parkinson brilliantly, spending more than £20million on new signings this summer.
The Hollywood duo have often spoken about ‘future-proofing’ the club: this isn’t just a case of reaching the top as quickly as possible, but also setting Wrexham up for years to come.
The new and improved Kop stand is a sign of the long-term investment in Wrexham, and there are hopes of developing top young players for the future.
Harry Ashfield has impressed Parkinson, and Max Cleworth has emerged as a first-team star, but Wrexham will hope to put facilities and infrastructure in place for more talent to come through the ranks.

Wrexham lose Nick Chadwick to Everton
Quality youth coaching is key, but Wrexham have now lost a key part of the academy.
As reported by Training Ground Guru, Everton have raided Wrexham for the services of coach Nick Chadwick.
Chadwick served as Professional Development Phase Lead coach at Wrexham and oversaw a pre-season trip to Canada this summer.
Chadwick’s work at Wrexham has not gone unnoticed, and Everton will appoint him as Individual Development Lead Coach in their academy.
The former striker came up in the Everton youth ranks himself before emerging in the Toffees’ first team in 2001.
Chadwick hit six goals in 21 games for Everton before joining Plymouth Argyle on a permanent basis in 2005.
Everton welcomed Chadwick back as an Under-10 and Under-11 coach in the later stages of his playing career, and he will now head back to Merseyside once more.
Chadwick joined Wrexham in 2023, having previously coached at Blackburn Rovers, Wigan Athletic and AFC Fylde.
The 42-year-old will begin work at Everton next week, with his exit serving as a real blow to Wrexham’s academy.
More unwanted change to Wrexham’s academy
Wrexham certainly won’t have wanted to lose Chadwick, but will understand his desire to return to his former club.
Everton have a special place in Chadwick’s heart, and the chance to coach in a Premier League academy may have been too good to turn down.
The news is a real blow as Wrexham have already lost academy manager Andy Lowe this summer.
Losing Lowe and Chadwick in quick succession is a blow to Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds’ plans to build up Wrexham’s academy, but there will be many coaches out there who want to play a part in Wrexham’s rise in the years to come.
