Wrexham are aiming to make it six wins on the spin in all competitions when they face Cambridge United on Saturday.

The Red Dragons are flying high ahead of their trip to the south of England on December 14th.

Phil Parkinson has guided Wrexham to five straight wins in all competitions, most recently beating Crewe Alexandra in the EFL Trophy.

In League One, meanwhile, the Red Dragons sit second in the division and only behind Wycombe Wanderers via goal difference.

However, the Welsh side are playing away from the Racecourse Ground this weekend and have been much poorer on the road in 2024/25.

As a result, Parkinson will want to put out as strong a squad as possible for the game. With that said, here’s all the latest Wrexham team and injury news ahead of Cambridge.

Arthur Okonkwo and Callum Burton – out

Wrexham’s goalkeeping department has been plagued with injury issues over the last month.

Parkinson provided a fresh Arthur Okonkwo injury update after the win against Burton last week.

Okonkwo is currently out with a wrist injury and the Wrexham manager confirmed he ‘is quite a way off yet’.

With the former Arsenal man sidelined, Callum Burton stepped up and became the number-one choice between the sticks.

However, Wrexham could have lost Burton for the season after he picked up an issue against Barnsley.

Jack Marriott and George Evans – out long term

Jack Marriott began the season in fine form, scoring five goals in 10 League One matches.

However, Marriott was injured in early October, with a four-month timeline given for his return.

George Evans is another long-term absentee and we’re still yet to be given an idea of when he could be back.

James Jones – doubt

James Jones started in Wrexham’s cup win over Crewe earlier this week but picked up an injury in the first half.

Parkinson gave an update on Jones following the match but did not confirm if he will be fit enough to feature this weekend.

James McClean and Geroge Dobson – available

James McClean and George Dobson have been crucial players for Wrexham this season but missed the Burton win due to suspension.

But as both players were only serving one-match bans after accumulating five yellow cards in the league, they are available to take on Cambridge.
