Wrexham are launching a new project today, and it looks as though a former player is involved.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have been excellent at social media marketing since they became Wrexham owners.

The Hollywood actors have used their massive profiles to expand the club’s reach worldwide.

Millions of people watched Season 4 of Welcome to Wrexham, with the documentary’s success heavily tied to the Dragons’ new fanbase and increased commercial revenue.

Now, like everyone else in the world, Wrexham look set to launch their very own podcast.

Wrexham launching podcast

Reynolds and Mac have been no strangers to appearing on podcasts to promote Welcome to Wrexham and the club.

But it looks as though they are now going to be producing their own in-house podcast from today.

Wrexham’s official X/Twitter account posted a photo on Thursday with the caption ‘5pm Today…’ followed by the eyes emoji.

The image appears to be a graphic for the show, which is named ‘That Wrexham Podcast’.

Meanwhile, in a separate social media post, a former player appears to have been teased for the podcast.

Ben Tozer teased for Wrexham podcast

Wrexham’s Instagram account has shared a video of former club captain Ben Tozer.

The ex-centre-back was videoed travelling to the King Power Stadium to watch Leicester City vs Wrexham on Tuesday.

At the end of the video, the graphic for the aforementioned podcast flashed up, seemingly signalling Tozer’s involvement.

The former defender joined Wrexham in 2021 and played a key role in them winning promotion from the National League.

He was a regular feature at the start of 2023/24 as well, but after losing his place in the team, he was released in the summer of 2024.

Tozer spent last term with Forest Green Rovers but has now retired from playing.
