Wrexham are looking to boost their promotion chances by adding to their well-stocked squad in January.
The 2024/25 season has been excellent for the Red Dragons so far, even if they have a few problem areas in their side.
Promotion rivals Wycombe Wanderers and Huddersfield Town played one of their games in hand on Tuesday evening, with the latter coming out on top.
This means Wrexham are now only behind second-place Wycombe in the League One table via goal difference.
The Welsh outfit will have to wait some time before they can attempt to overtake Matt Bloomfield’s side, however, as they are not back in action until January 16th.
Said break should give Phil Parkinson and co. a chance to focus their attention on the January transfer market, however.
Patrick Bamford is among the players linked to Wrexham and on this front, they may have just been handed a boost.

Leeds United boost could help Wrexham land Patrick Bamford
The former Middlesbrough man has been in and out of the Leeds United squad this season and seemed somewhat surpluses to requirements.
However, his importance to The Whites was highlighted over the weekend when Wrexham target Bamford missed a Leeds fixture.
Following the tie, manager Daniel Farke bemoaned his absence and mentioned how they tried hard to get him back fit for the match.
With the Englishman still clearly important to Leeds, a deal for Wrexham this month seemed somewhat unlikely.
However, a transfer update concerning the Yorkshire outfit may now have opened the door for the Red Dragons to swoop.
The Daily Mail sports print edition (January 6th, page 10) claimed that the Peacocks want to sign Hoffenheim centre-forward Mergim Berisha.
Now, Florian Plettenberg has given Leeds a boost on this front, reporting Berisha will likely move in January and that the Leeds-linked player has ‘no future’ at Hoffenheim.
If Berisha does move to Elland Road, the likelihood of Wrexham target Bamford being allowed to depart will surely increase.

Wrexham still have one Patrick Bamford problem
Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp labelled Bamford ‘exceptional’ previously, and his addition would be a major coup for a team in the third tier.
But while Leeds could be more open to a transfer in the coming weeks, Wrexham still have one problem to overcome if they’re to land the ex-Chelsea gem.
As per Capology, Bamford is currently earning £70,000-a-week with Leeds – a giant sum for a League One side.
In comparison, a report from Salary Sport last year claimed that Wrexham’s highest-paid player was only earning £7,200.
So, it seems obvious that should he sign, Bamford would have to take a big wage cut.
