Wrexham have completed their summer transfer business and fans will be catching their breath after 13 new faces arrived at the Racecourse Ground.
Phil Parkinson made it clear from the start of the summer that his Wrexham squad would need improving and he was certainly backed by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Almost £40m has been spent by the owners, breaking their transfer record three times throughout the window with the likes of Liberato Cacace and Nathan Broadhead.
However, as the Red Dragons now head into a lull before a tough period of the Championship campaign, Parkinson may be ruing one transfer mistake.

Wrexham do not have Kieffer Moore replacement following Ollie Palmer transfer exit
Striker Kieffer Moore has had a blistering start to his Wrexham career following his £2m move from Sheffield United.
The 33-year-old has scored four goals in his last three matches, including a brave header to set up the Red Dragons’ first win in the second tier for 43 years in their 2-0 victory over Millwall.
However, Moore is ‘managing’ an ankle injury that he suffered on the opening day at Southampton and has been called up by Craig Bellamy for the Wales squad.

With Ollie Palmer departing for Swindon, Wrexham now lack a back-up striker that can be the focal point of their attack – winning aerial duels and holding the ball up.
Ryan Hardie and Sam Smith are both players that like to run into channels and play off a bigger target man rather than being the one that passes are being fired into.
Parkinson will now be praying that Moore does not get injured on international duty and that his body can still cope with the rigours of Championship football.
Wrexham could still sign Patrick Bamford to solve Kieffer Moore issue
Whilst the transfer window is now shut, Wrexham can still sign free agents and have utilised that option in the past with Steven Fletcher and Matty James.
Wrexham have been long-term admirers of Patrick Bamford and the former Leeds United striker is now without a club following his release from Elland Road.
Bamford is a striker that has plenty of experience in the Championship and can play as a lone striker or as part of a two.
| Patrick Bamford’s Championship record | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Bamford | 217 | 69 | 15 |
His ability to hold the ball up and bring others into play is a real strength and Parkinson may yet be tempted to swoop.
A lot will depend on his 25-man squad for the new season and whether he leaves a space for the former Leeds striker – the squad needs to be confirmed by 7pm on September 2nd.
