Wrexham face a tough battle to secure promotion from League One in the 2024/25 season.
Phil Parkinson is aiming to secure a third-straight promotion with the Red Dragons in the current campaign.
Wrexham had a very small chance of getting promoted prior to the season getting underway, according to Opta.
Opta then predicted the League One table again late last month with Wrexham backed to earn 69.44 points this season and secure a ninth-place finish.
At present, however, the Welsh outfit are sitting second in the third tier after 10 games, though they have played one more match than the majority of sides in the division.
Despite this, a promotion push could still be on the cards in 2024/25 even though Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have been told why Wrexham will not win the League One title.
The battle for first place is expected to prove a tough one but Parkinson’s men do have on secret weapon up their sleeve.

Wrexham record can help Phil Parkinson’s men win League One promotion
Birmingham City are top of League One as we prepare to welcome club football back this weekend.
The Blues are two points above Wrexham with a game in hand and are favourites to go up this season, which is not surprising given they spent £20m on just one player over the summer.
However, while Parkinson and co. have dropped some unnecessary points on the road in 2024/25, their form at the Racecourse Ground has been superb.
In fact, the Welsh outfit are just one of three teams across all of the EFL to have a 100 percent home record in 2024/25.
No Premier League club has managed that feat while Blackburn Rovers and AFC Wimbledon are the only other two clubs in the top-four tiers still to have won all their home games this term.
Wrexham have actually gone one better than both of those teams as well as Parkinson’s men have won five from five with Blackburn and Wimbledon winning four from four.
The importance of having a strong home record should not be understated and if the Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds-owned club can go an entire campaign without losing at the Racecourse, their promotion chances will surely be given a major boost.

Upcoming Wrexham home fixtures
When club football returns at the weekend, Wrexham are away to Rotherham United on October 19th.
That is followed by a home meeting against another promotion contender, Huddersfield Town, on October 22nd.
Wrexham’s home record will be firmly put to the test next month as well when they take on 3rd-place Mansfield Town on November 9th.
Should Parkinson’s men win both of those fixtures, their chances of securing a place in the Championship for 2025/26 will go up.
