Phil Parkinson has a wealth of riches to choose from when deciding who to select to start in attack for him, and it will continue to be this way unless one were to suffer an injury.
Kieffer Moore has more often than not been his first choice in the striker role, with Josh Windass working in a supporting role when fit so far in the Championship this campaign.
Meanwhile, the Red Dragons spent heavily to bring Nathan Broadhead to the club from Ipswich Town for £10 million, making him Wrexham’s most expensive signing ever.
This has seen other players battling for minutes, with Ryan Hardie potentially weighing up his Wrexham future despite only joining in the summer, while for Sam Smith this may be the same case; however, the striker that achieved promotion from League One last year with the Welsh club has sent a message to Phil Parkinson during this international break.

Sam Smith posts a workout image on social media
Sam Smith is not the only player to have seen his minutes limited during the four-game unbeaten run in the Championship, with Parkinson keeping the side consistent to get results.
James McClean posted a workout on social media, sending a message to his manager that he is ready for action when they face Stoke City after the international break, but he was not the only player to do this.
Sam Smith has now done the exact same thing, as he posted an image of him in a gym during the international break, demonstrating that he is putting the work in, with this potentially helping his consideration for the next fixture.

While it may be tough for him to slot straight into the team for the Stoke match, due to the fine form of Moore, he can continue to build up his minutes from the bench.
He has been stuck on the bench for much of the Championship campaign, with his seven appearances coming off the bench, which may have Smith considering a move away from Wrexham this January.
Sam Smith’s impact at Wrexham
The striker has not even been at the club for a year at the point of writing; however, he has seemingly dropped down the list of options at the Red Dragons.
Smith was arguably the first-choice striker for the end of the last campaign, being a vital part of their promotion to the Championship, as he scored seven goals in his 17 appearances.
Yet, with the acquisition of Moore, Windass and Broadhead, who are considerably more experienced in the second tier, Parkinson has turned to them to lead the line so far this campaign.
Smith may believe that if he was given the opportunity to start in the division, he could prove that he belongs at this level, having impressed for several years in League One, and so this will explain why he is preparing for this chance in the gym during the international break.
