Shaun Harvey has been proven so right after he made a bold prediction for Wrexham under Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac became Wrexham owners in February 2021 after a £2m takeover.
Their first full season at the Racecourse Ground ended in National League play-off disappointment.
But Wrexham were promoted from the fifth tier at the end of 2022/23, and what followed has been remarkable.
However, if there’s one man who won’t be surprised by Wrexham’s success in the last couple of seasons, it’s Shaun Harvey.

Shaun Harvey’s claim about Wrexham under Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac
Harvey has been a key figure in North Wales since the early days of the Rob and Ryan era.
His vast knowledge has proven invaluable to the Dragons, and he has previously made a prediction for the club under Reynolds and Mac that’s now come true.
In February 2024, Harvey predicted the best was yet to come for Wrexham under the Hollywood actors.
He said: “It’s been a magical rollercoaster of a ride for three years under Rob and Ryan, and arguably the best is still to come.
“What that entails and how it plays out, I don’t think anyone can accurately predict. All we do know is there will be lots of honest endeavour both on and off the pitch, everybody will do their best to be successful.
“Results on the pitch make a football club but ultimately, it’s what goes on off it that defines it.
“Everybody around Wrexham is loving the experience of seeing how far the club can go.”

Shaun Harvey was right about Wrexham
In February 2024, when Harvey made that prediction, Wrexham were still a League Two side.
However, they ended the 2023/24 campaign second in the fourth tier, securing promotion to League One.
The success did not stop after reaching the third tier, however, with Wrexham dominating last season to win yet another promotion in April 2025, 14 months on from Harvey’s claim.
The Dragons are now competing in the Championship for the first time since 1982 and are in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup for the first time since the 1970s.
It’s been a crazy ride under Reynolds and Mac so far, who are showing no signs of losing interest in the club any time soon.
