Wrexham are in danger in losing some important players for nothing when their contracts expire in June.
Wrexham have already handed out new deals to a number of their stars over the course of 2024/25.
Ryan Barnett signed a contract late in 2024 amid transfer interest from several teams in the Championship and Scottish Premier League.
Ollie Palmer penned terms that keep him at the Racecourse Ground until 2026 as well despite now being relegated to a fringe role.
More recently, Jack Marriott signed a Wrexham contract as his deal was due to expire at the close of 2024/25.
There are still several players who, right now, are on course to leave Wales for free in June 2025, however.

Wrexham gem Harry Ashfield appears to drop future hint
Veteran pair Mark Howard and Steven Fletcher are now in the final five months of their Wrexham contracts but given they are 38 and 37, it seems unlikely they will be given extensions.
Both would be big misses around the squad but as Wrexham’s team is already bloated, it doesn’t make much sense to keep them around for another 12 months.
Liam Hall, Brad Foster, and Josh Adam are also running down their contracts but said trio do have one-year extension options.
Elsewhere, there is a chance Wrexham could end up losing rising star Harry Ashfield for nothing this summer.
Ashfield is currently out of contract on June 30th but recent activity from the player suggests his future lies in Wales.
The teenager has now joined FullNinety Sports Management, who also have Wrexham midfielder Elliot Lee as a client.
It seems likely Ashfield has joined an agency so he can negotiate a new contract and given it is one that already works with Lee, they should have a good relationship with the Red Dragons already and will hopefully be able to agree fresh terms with the Hollywood-owned club.
Phil Parkinson drops Harry Ashfield role hint
Ashfield made his senior debut for Wrexham last term and has since notched a further four appearances in 2024/25.
All of those outings have come in the EFL Trophy, with the 18-year-old scoring his first goal for the club against Port Vale earlier this month.
Following his superb showing against Port Vale, Phil Parkinson spoke about Ashfield and the role he could have moving forward.
He said: “Young Ashy was very unlucky not to be involved, but he’d missed a week with his calf injury and only trained on Tuesday.
“Can we get him involved from now until the end of the season? He is starting to look like a player who deserves some inclusion.”
