Two players who left Wrexham this summer have helped deal a shocking blow to one of the Dragons’ rivals.
Wrexham drew 1-1 with Leicester City in a Championship clash on Tuesday evening, while one of their loanees and a former player impressed in a League One tie.
In total, 20 players left the Racecourse Ground over the course of the summer, including Sebastian Revan and George Evans.
Revan has joined Burton Albion on loan, while Evans moved there for free after seeing his Wrexham contract terminated.
Both players started in midweek when the Brewers took on the Dragons’ Welsh rivals, Cardiff City.

Sebastian Revan stars to help Burton beat Cardiff City
Wrexham will face Cardiff in a Carabao Cup fixture later this month.
The Bluebirds were relegated from the Championship last term but have had a prolific start to the League One campaign.
They are firmly in the promotion mix and beat Paul Mullin’s Wigan Athletic this past weekend.
Another three points were expected to be claimed on September 30 when they took on a Burton team that had won just one game all season and started the day in the relegation zone.
When all was said and done, however, Cardiff fell to a shock 1-0 home defeat thanks to an 82nd-minute goal from Charlie Webster.
Evans started in midfield and played well, while Revan had a simply superb game up against Wrexham’s rivals.
Cardiff put Burton’s defence under a lot of pressure, but the wing-back was immense.

Will Sebastian Revan play for Wrexham again
Revan joined Wrexham in the summer of 2024 from Aston Villa.
He had a mixed debut campaign in North Wales, struggling to hold down a regular starting berth.
The arrivals of Ryan Longman and Liberato Cacace pushed the wing-back down the pecking order this year, meaning a loan move made sense this summer.
Revan is still only 22 years of age, so he should still improve in the coming years.
He is under contract with Wrexham until 2027 and will return once the current campaign draws to a close.
Whether or not he is able to break back into the team next season will depend on various factors, including his form in the remainder of 2025/26, what division the Dragons are in next term, and whether or not they sign any more wing-backs in the next two transfer windows.
