Wrexham have confirmed yet another player departure ahead of the summer transfer window closing on September 1st.
So far this summer, Wrexham have signed seven new players and Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have smashed the transfer record to sign Lewis O’Brien in a £5m deal from Nottingham Forest.
Before the summer transfer window shuts, it looks like Wrexham will complete a few more signings with manager Phil Parkinson saying that he’s still working on new signings.
At the end of last season, Wrexham released eight first-team players and since then several more have left on loan. Paul Mullin has joined Wigan Athletic and more recently Mo Faal has joined Port Vale.
Meanwhile, there have been permanent player departures too with Will Boyle and Luke Bolton both leaving. Now, Sebastian Revan has joined those leaving the Racecourse, but only on a loan deal.

Wrexham confirm Seb Revan loan exit
On Wednesday, Wrexham confirmed that Revan has left the club on loan to join League One Burton Albion. Last summer, Wrexham signed Revan on a permanent deal from Aston Villa, but the 22-year-old defender couldn’t really hold down a place in the Wrexham XI as the Dragons went on to win a historic third straight promotion under Parkinson.
In total, the 22-year-old left-back played just 19 games in League One, failing to score or assist. He will now spend the entirety of the 2025-26 season on loan with Burton, and Parkinson will hope that the youngster can simply get some first-team minutes under his belt.
Brewers manager Gary Bowyer said: “I’m delighted to have Seb join us, he’s a good player who we are looking forward to working with.
“He is a good one-v-one defender and is exciting going forward. He will fit in with how we want to play. A big thank you to Wrexham for allowing this to happen and to our owners once again for their support.”
Was Seb Revan a disappointment in his first season for Wrexham?
Revan certainly remains a player with potential. He showed glimpses of a strong player last season but on the whole it was a disappointing campaign for the youngster. And after Wrexham signed left-back Liberato Cacace from Empoli, it suggested that Revan was well out of favour ahead of Wrexham’s step up into the Championship.
In fact, Revan was named as Wrexham’s most disappointing player last season by journalist Nathan Salt. He said earlier this year: “I guess on the balance of fairness, and hopefully if they do hear this, it’ll be a bit of motivation going into next season. I think probably my biggest disappointment of the season was Seb Revan.”
Expect Wrexham fans to keep a keen eye on how Revan performs for Burton, Albion and League One. The Brewers will be right up against it in the fight for survival once again, but Revan could yet play a key role and work himself back into Wrexham contention in time for next season.
