Paul Mullin is really struggling at Wrexham this season and the potential arrival of a new player may hinder him even more.
Death, taxes, and Paul Mullin bagging goals. That was the story at Wrexham for so many years.
However, after being forced to undergo surgery over the summer, the striker has seen his form fall off a cliff in 2024/25.
Concerning Mullin League One data emerged last month and the 30-year-old has continued to underperform every time he is given a chance.
Wrexham faced off with Bristol Rovers this past weekend, being forced to settle for a point after conceding a late goal for the second game on the spin.
The centre-forward came off the bench in that tie following an injury to Elliot Lee in the 36th minute.
But after failing to find the net and squandering another big chance, Wrexham fans hit out at Mullin.

Wrexham target Harry Cornick may hinder Paul Mullin
The Englishman now has just one League One goal in 19 appearances – a record that’s unlikely to improve if the Red Dragons sign Harry Cornick.
Reports this week claim that Wrexham are interested in signing Cornick from Bristol City.
Robins boss Liam Manning has spoken about Cornick’s future and seemingly opened the door for a January exit after he has failed to garner a single minute of Championship action this term.
While this is good news for Wrexham, it may not be what Mullin wants to hear.
Traditionally, the Liverpool-born ace has provided to bulk of the club’s goal, with his partner Ollie Palmer’s main role to feed Mullin.
However, previous comments from Cornick made in October 2021 as per Luton Today, suggest Wrexham’s record scorer will have even fewer chances to end his drought if played alongside the Bristol City man.
The centre-forward spoke about how he had changed his game away from focusing on assists and is instead being more ‘selfish’ on the goal front.
He said: “Collo was brilliant for me, I always used to love playing with him, trying to find him, I used to like getting assists for him.
“Last year I was trying to get more assists, that was my main focus. Trying to set Collo up, trying to set Eli up and this year I’m being a bit more selfish, a bit more greedy, trying to stay more central on the pitch and trying to get my chances.
“I think last year I was drifting out wide a bit too much and trying to help the team a bit too much, whereas if I stay central, that’s where the goals are.”

Paul Mullin could start for Wrexham vs Blackpool
With a new striker expected to be signed in January, Mullin is running out of chances to prove himself in League One.
Next up for Wrexham is a meeting with Blackpool at the Racecourse Ground on December 26th.
With Lee injured, Mullin is the most likely candidate to take his place in the starting lineup.
The forward hasn’t started a league match since November 9th versus Mansfield Town and another poor showing in midweek will likely anger supporters even more.
