Wrexham continue to be linked with potential attacking additions with Phil Parkinson seeking firepower for the second half of the season.
Wrexham lacked a killer touch to take the game away from Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
Elliot Lee’s opener from a sublime Matty James pass fired Wrexham in front and a 1-0 win appeared to be on the cards.
Wrexham didn’t kill the game off though and Bristol Rovers found a leveller late in the day with Promise Omochere heading home.
Wrexham fans weren’t impressed with Paul Mullin and without the goal machine finding his best form, Phil Parkinson perhaps doesn’t have the firepower he once had.
That means Wrexham will surely be in the market for another forward in January and a new name has emerged from the rumour mill.

Bristol City boss on Wrexham target’s future
Wrexham want a Championship forward this month and speculation is starting to ramp up.
Leeds United forward Patrick Bamford has been linked with Wrexham and another second-tier attacker is on the radar.
Reports on Monday suggested that Wrexham are interested in signing Bristol City’s Harry Cornick.
Charlton Athletic are also keen with boss Nathan Jones well aware of Cornick’s quality having coached him at Luton Town.
Cornick hasn’t played a single minute of Championship action this season and looks destined to leave Bristol City in January.
Robins boss Liam Manning has now addressed Cornick’s future whilst speaking to Bristol Live.
Manning has admitted that he has already spoken to Cornick and believes the forward will want to move on in January.
Manning noted that Bristol City will allow Cornick to pursue other opportunities and the 29-year-old has been aware of his status in the squad since the summer.
Cornick’s attitude and application was praised by Manning but will now wait and see whether a January move materialises.
“I’ve had a chat with Corns and it’s tough because he’s one a top person and two a top professional,” said Manning.
“I know he would have been frustrated at not getting minutes but we had that chat in the summer that, that might be the case. I can’t commend him enough for how he’s conducted himself.
“With January coming up, I’m sure he’ll want to explore options as we’ll allow him to. We’ve had those chats with Corns but as I said, it’s always harder when you’ve got someone that’s such a good person and a pro. We’ll have to see how that turns out,” he added.

Cornick not a consistent source of goals
Wrexham will certainly have a chance to sign Cornick with Bristol City clearly happy for him to go.
Cornick fits the bill in terms of Championship experience having played almost 200 games in the second tier, whilst he also possesses a turn of pace and can thrive working off a big striker like Ollie Palmer.
The concern for us is that Cornick isn’t exactly a prolific goalscorer.
Cornick has scored just three goals in 56 Championship games for Bristol City and only hit double figures in one season at Luton Town.
Cornick scored six times in 32 League One games in the 2018-19 season with his best campaign coming in 2021-22, hitting 12 goals in 38 outings.
The former Bournemouth man has never really been a prolific striker and if Wrexham want a guaranteed source of goals, Cornick may not be the man for the job unless Parkinson believes he can get a tune out of him at the STōK Cae Ras.
