Wrexham are keen to add Championship experience to their ranks, and one defender with 331 appearances in the second-tier would certainly fit the bill for exactly what Phil Parkinson is looking for.
The 2025/26 Championship season is set to be a real culture shock for Wrexham unless they significantly bolster their squad with fresh talent.
Owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have already supplied Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson with a new striker in the form of Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle, whilst Danny Ward arrived after his dismissal from Leicester City.
Following the Australia pre-season tour, Wrexham have upped their business by signing Liberato Cacace, whilst Josh Windass is set to join the club as well.
However, issues still remain for Parkinson, particularly in the right-wing-back department, but that could be rectified by one former Swansea City man who is currently a free agent.

Wrexham could be one of the teams interested in former Swansea City star Cyrus Christie
According to Pete O’Rourke on X, former Swansea City defender Cyrus Christie has plenty of interest from clubs this summer, including those in the Championship.
Whilst the specific clubs showing an interest in Christie have not been revealed, it would make sense if Wrexham were an admirer of the 32-year-old.
With 331 Championship appearances and a promotion to the Premier League to his name, there is much to attract Wrexham to potentially sign Christie.
Not only would Christie offer vast Championship experience to Phil Parkinson’s side, but he would be the solution to what could be a major problem on the right flank for Wrexham this season.
Wrexham need extra depth on the right flank
In pre-season, Wrexham ace Ryan Longman impressed Red Dragons fans, having given 100%. It is clear that the former Brighton and Hull ace will be a crucial player for Phil Parkinson this season, but the depth in his position is a major worry.
At this moment, Wrexham are banking on Longman hopefully keeping fit and consolidating the right-wing-back position, but ultimately, this can not be a realistic situation that brings success for the club.
In his illustrious career, Cyrus Christie has continuously performed in this position, and would be able to do so once again for Wrexham.
Extra numbers are needed through the doors at the Racecourse Ground, particularly on the right flank, and such an area would be massively bolstered if Wrexham signed Christie.
