Incoming Wrexham arrival Josh Windass has left quite a mark on Sheffield Wednesday fans, who all agree about one thing regarding the forward.
Wrexham are set to sign Josh Windass this summer as Phil Parkinson hopes to add Championship quality to his forward line.
Windass departed Sheffield Wednesday after his contract was mutually terminated, and Wrexham have since capitalised on the dire situation at Hillsborough by acquiring the Owls’ top scorer from the 2024/25 Championship campaign.
On the surface, Wrexham signing Windass is a brilliant move by the club, bringing in assured goalscoring firepower to partner Ryan Hardie in the forward line, although there remains one concern over the player.
Such concern has been responded to by Sheffield Wednesday supporters, who have had their say.

Sheffield Wednesday fans respond to Josh Windass ‘attitude’ myth
Josh Windass spent five years at Sheffield Wednesday, where he became an assured goalscoring threat for the club.
The former Owls ace leaves Sheffield Wednesday three years after his iconic Wembley goal – one of many moments that helped him become a top player at the club.
However, concerns loom over Windass’ attitude, although that has been disproven by Sheffield Wednesday fans.
Taking to social media, one fan said: “His attitude has never been poor. He’s probably the hardest trainer and doesn’t drink at all.
“He just comes across as arrogant, which is completely different. He would be your best player.”
His quality is another thing that Sheffield Wednesday fans emphasised, suggesting that ‘he’d be your star player and you’d be absolutely lucky…to have him’ and ‘he’s a proper grafter and excellent player at champ level’.
Owls supporters continued, saying that ‘he’ll be your best player by a mile’ as Sheffield Wednesday ‘always looked a poorer side without him in it’.

Josh Windass’ confidence will be key for Wrexham
When things haven’t been going well for Sheffield Wednesday, Josh Windass’ mentality has remained on top form. This could be crucial for Wrexham this season, if it doesn’t quite go to plan for Phil Parkinson’s side this season.
Sheffield Wednesday’s forward oozed confidence at all times, which was sometimes misconceived as cockiness. At the end of the day, Wrexham need someone to show this form of confidence and personality.
On top of that, Parkinson needs to feed into Windass’ mentality to make him tick. Windass has the quality to transform Wrexham, and Parkinson needs to place that responsibility on his shoulders so he can hopefully meet such lofty ambitions.
