Wrexham play Welsh rivals Swansea City in the Championship in December, and Swansea’s newest minority owner Snoop Dogg is set to attend.
Swansea City have added two blockbuster names to their board this year in Luka Modric and Snoop Dogg.
Modric became a co-owner of Swansea City in April this year, whilst Snoop Dogg became a co-owner of Swansea in July.
On Thursday, it was revealed by Swans player Liam Cullen that Snoop Dogg is set to attend Swansea City vs Wrexham which is scheduled for December 19th this year.
There’s no news yet on whether or not Wrexham’s Hollywood co-owners Rob Mac or Ryan Reynolds will attend, but Snoop Dogg’s presence at the derby match might prompt the actors to attend.

What Snoop Dogg thinks about Ryan Reynolds and Wrexham
We’ve seen an influx of Hollywood celebrities and sports stars buy into English football, largely since Reynolds and Mac’s Wrexham takeover in 2021 and their subsequent success in North Wales: Tom Brady at Birmingham City, Will Ferrell at Leeds United and several others too.
In October last year, Snoop Dogg was actually being linked with investing in Celtic. At the time, he told Daily Record about his admiration for what Reynolds and Wrexham have achieved, saying: “I love what Ryan has done with Wrexham, it’s just a great story. Investing in a sports team has been something I have been looking at for a long time, if the chance came to invest in Celtic, I would be crazy not to take a look at it.”
Earlier this season, Reynolds was at the Racecourse for Wrexham’s 3-1 defeat against QPR in the Championship. Phil Parkinson’s side currently sit in 18th place of the Championship table after drawing with Birmingham City last time out.
Snoop Dogg and Ryan Reynolds once wanted to buy the same team
Reynolds and Mac have really branched out into sports with the pair having a stake in Mexican side Necaxa. Reynolds is also involved in F1 and in sailing and in 2023, he was looking into NHL.
Reynolds and Snoop Dogg were both linked with Ottawa Senators with Reynolds’ part reportedly readying a $1billion bid to buy the ice hockey team, though neither side won.
But Snoop Dogg and Reynolds have certainly seen their paths cross and in unlikely circumstances too, with the pair going head-to-head in a Welsh derby between Wrexham and Swansea City.
Wrexham and Swansea City have met 31 times in their history. But the two teams haven’t met since 2003. Swansea actually haven’t beaten Wrexham since 1993 with the Dragons winning seven of the last nine meetings, drawing the other two.
