Wrexham have completed the signing of Coventry City midfielder Ben Sheaf as Phil Parkinson puts the finishing touches to his summer business.
Phil Parkinson wanted more business at Wrexham as the transfer window entered its final hours.
Wrexham have now snapped up Ben Sheaf, paying around £6.5million to secure the Coventry City captain.
Sheaf becomes signing number 11 for Wrexham this summer – and the business may not be done just yet.
Issa Kabore is set to join Wrexham on loan from Manchester City, adding a new right wing-back to Parkinson’s options.
Wrexham are also moving for Dominic Hyam, in the hope of landing the Blackburn Rovers defender before the deadline.

Birmingham City make move for Wrexham-linked Will Smallbone
One man we can seemingly rule out now is Will Smallbone.
Wrexham were linked with Smallbone last week, with a deal of around £7.5million mentioned at the time.
That rumour has not progressed, and Sheaf’s move to the STōK Cae Ras suggests Smallbone will not join him at Wrexham.
In fact, Smallbone could now secure a move to Wrexham’s Championship rivals Birmingham City.
The Daily Mail’s Mike Keegan reports that Birmingham are making a late move to sign Smallbone before the window shuts.
A loan deal looks likely as things stand, but Smallbone could join Tom Brady’s Blues rather than Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham.
Smallbone has yet to feature for Southampton this season and has been carrying a calf injury since pre-season.
Will Smallbone could join another former Wrexham target in Birmingham City midfield
Smallbone could secure a late move to St Andrew’s and join another former Wrexham target in the Birmingham engine room.
Reports early in the summer window suggested that Wrexham wanted to sign Tommy Doyle from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Doyle instead joined Birmingham on loan, meaning he could end up alongside Smallbone in midfield under Chris Davies.
Wrexham host Birmingham on 3 October, before travelling for the return fixture on 11 April 2026.
Doyle and Smallbone could line up against Wrexham in those games and will look to show Phil Parkinson what he has missed out on.
