Wrexham are still looking for signings ahead of transfer deadline day, with Bristol City defender Zak Vyner and Coventry City midfielder Ben Sheaf now on Phil Parkinson’s wish list.
Wrexham have made 10 signings this summer, but Phil Parkinson is still hunting for further additions.
Parkinson hinted at interest in signing Jordan James, having tracked the Welsh international midfielder’s progress at Rennes.
Reports now suggest that Wrexham are in talks to sign Ben Sheaf from Coventry City ahead of the transfer deadline.
Wrexham also want to sign Zak Vyner, with Bristol City now snubbing a £2million bid for the defender, having already rejected £1.75million.
Talks are ongoing, with Wrexham also keen on signing Harrison Armstrong in a potential loan deal from Everton.
Deadline day could be a busy one in terms of incomings as well as outgoings, with Parkinson still looking to shape his squad.

Phil Parkinson on Wrexham transfers
Wrexham have a huge squad as things stand, and some fringe players may need to move on.
Ollie Palmer joined Swindon Town on Friday, and he is unlikely to be the final departure of this window.
Parkinson has now told The Leader that ‘a few lads’ may be leaving Wrexham before the transfer window slams shut.
The Wrexham boss did not name any names, but he seemingly feels that some players need to move on.
Parkinson added that Wrexham also have ‘a few offers on the table’ which are close to being agreed in terms of incoming signings.
Wrexham beat Millwall 2-0 on Saturday, but Parkinson still believes that there are a ‘few areas’ which can be strengthened ahead of the deadline.
“There’s a few lads may be going, we’ve got to look at that, and we’ve had a few offers on the table which we’re close to getting agreed,” said Parkinson.
“If they happen, great, we are pleased because we will always feel there’s a few areas we can strengthen. But equally if it doesn’t, we’ll go with what we’ve got and we’ve got some good players to come back in that group,” he added.
Wrexham have completed impressive business this summer
No matter what happens on deadline day, this has been another impressive transfer window for Wrexham.
Reports suggested that Wrexham would splash the cash this summer, and that has proven to be the case.
Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds have backed Parkinson with more than £20million worth of signings to help Wrexham adjust to the level.
Conor Coady provides top-level experience, while Kieffer Moore, Josh Windass, Ryan Hardie, Lewis O’Brien and Callum Doyle have all been proven Championship players.
Wrexham’s transfer record has been shattered on Nathan Broadhead, and he has been joined in a Wrexham homecoming by Danny Ward.
Parkinson has even dipped into foreign markets, landing New Zealand international Liberato Cacace from Empoli.
We can’t forget about George Thomason either, with the midfielder set for a first Championship chance after a stunning rise from Longridge Town to Bolton Wanderers.
Wrexham have added quality all over the pitch, and a couple more additions on deadline day would really put the icing on the cake for Parkinson.
