Wrexham have finally brought in a first signing from abroad under Phil Parkinson, and a second may not be too far behind.
Wrexham have been rampant in the transfer market of late, securing four signings in the space of a week.
Liberato Cacace, George Thomason and Josh Windass all joined before Lewis O’Brien signed for Wrexham to complete a frantic period of business.
That takes Wrexham’s summer window to six signings, with Phil Parkinson gearing up to face Southampton on the opening day of the season.
Cacace’s arrival has been particularly exciting, with the New Zealand international completing a seven-figure move from Empoli.
Wrexham had previously shopped at home rather than abroad, but Cacace’s arrival may be the start of more foreign incomings.

Wrexham target Juan Portilla curiously snubbed by Talleres
Reports on Sunday suggested that Wrexham could now look towards South America.
Talleres midfielder Juan Portilla is on Wrexham’s radar, with a potential £4million move in the pipeline.
The Colombian international would be a fascinating addition to the Wrexham engine room, and Parkinson will be watching his situation closely.
Talleres were in action on Sunday, taking on Godoy Cruz in Argentina’s Primera Division.
Portilla is usually a regular starter for Talleres, but former Premier League ace and now-Talleres boss Carlos Tevez left him on the bench.
Midfielder Ulises Ortegoza was sent off, but Portilla still wasn’t called upon by Tevez.
In fact, three midfielders were brought on during the course of the game, but Portilla ended the match as an unused substitute.
It’s certainly interesting that an important player did not even play a single minute, just as interest from Wrexham emerges.
Portilla had played every minute of Tevez’s first two games in charge, but didn’t even get on the pitch despite a number of midfield changes.
Carlos Tevez on Juan Portilla
That situation will not have gone unnoticed at Wrexham, and Talleres boss Tevez has tackled the situation.
As quoted by reporter Lautaro Gilaberte, Tevez admitted in his post-game press conference that he doesn’t know if Portilla will stay with Talleres.
“I want Portilla on the team, but I don’t know if he’ll stay at the club,” said Tevez.
Tevez also told Ole that, while Portilla was on the bench, he couldn’t actually consider using him due to ‘personal matters’ that must be resolved.
“Camilo has to sort out some things. He went to the bench today, but I couldn’t take him into account. These are personal matters, which he has to sort out with whoever he needs to sort out. It’s not in our hands to do so,” he added.
Transfer speculation may have been a factor here, and Wrexham may sense an opportunity to push ahead with a move to bring Portilla to the STōK Cae Ras this week.
