Wrexham’s recruitment drive continues after Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis O’Brien completed a move to the STōK Cae Ras on Thursday.
The last few days have been an absolute whirlwind for Wrexham, with Phil Parkinson striking deal after deal.
The first signing of this flurry came just shy of a week ago as New Zealand international Liberato Cacace joined Wrexham on Friday.
George Thomason made it two in a matter of days on Monday, finalising a £1.2million move to Wrexham from Bolton Wanderers.
A third came in on Wednesday as forward Josh Windass joined Wrexham on a free transfer after leaving Sheffield Wednesday.
Parkinson has now made it four signings in rapid fashion as Lewis O’Brien completes a move to the STōK Cae Ras.

Lewis O’Brien reacts to Wrexham transfer
Reports on Wednesday evening suggested that Wrexham were close to signing O’Brien from Nottingham Forest.
O’Brien has been a Wrexham target for much of the summer, but the deal had gone cold in recent weeks.
Wrexham have now come up with a deal and quickly completed a deal to sign O’Brien in another crucial midfield addition, just days after Thomason’s arrival.
O’Brien brings plenty of Championship experience from his days with Huddersfield Town, Middlesbrough and Swansea City.
Speaking on Wrexham’s official website, O’Brien has admitted that he is ‘absolutely buzzing’ with his move to Wrexham.
O’Brien noted that the deal has been ‘a long time coming’, touching on Wrexham’s summer-long interest in his signature.
O’Brien has now found a real home after being loaned out four times during his spell with Forest, and believes Wrexham have ‘a lot of ambition’.
“I’m absolutely buzzing. It’s been a long time coming, but to be here is great,” said O’Brien.
“The last couple of years has been a whirlwind for me and my family, but to sign a long-term contract and find somewhere I can call home is a great feeling.
“After speaking to everyone here, it’s a Club with a lot of ambition. I want to be part of that journey, and take Wrexham to where they want to be,” he added.
Phil Parkinson on Lewis O’Brien
This is a major statement from Wrexham, and while no fee has been announced, this is likely to be another new club-record signing.
Phil Parkinson has pulled off a major coup here, and he has told Wrexham’s official website that he is ‘delighted’ to have signed O’Brien.
Parkinson pointed to O’Brien’s experience at Championship level, firmly believing that he will be a ‘great’ addition.
“I’m delighted to welcome Lewis to the Club. He’s a player with a lot of experience at this level and will be a great addition to the group. We’re looking forward to working with him,” he added.
O’Brien has become Wrexham’s sixth summer signing, following on from Ryan Hardie, Danny Ward, Cacace, Thomason and Windass.
