Wrexham completed a deadline day signing as Modou Fall arrived from West Bromwich Albion, but one former Wrexham man earned a big transfer of his own.
Phil Parkinson ended up being a rather busy man on Friday as the summer transfer window slammed shut.
Wrexham made just the one signing with striker Modou Faal arriving from West Bromwich Albion.
Parkinson loves Faal’s arrival at Wrexham and believes that he can develop into a real threat at the STōK Cae Ras.
Wrexham also allowed three forwards to leave the club on deadline day with Jake Bickerstaff heading to Altrincham.
Billy Waters completed a move back to Halifax Town before Sam Dalby headed up to Scotland with Dundee United.

Former Wrexham midfielder seals big transfer
Wrexham were not the headline story in League One on Friday night; that belonged to Birmingham City.
The Blues splashed out a staggering fee to sign Fulham striker Jay Stansfield, absolutely obliterating the League One transfer record.
Elsewhere, one former Wrexham player made a significant move inside League One.
Some Wrexham fans will remember Davis Keillor-Dunn arriving in January 2020 but made just six first-team appearances before leaving on a free transfer that summer.
Keillor-Dunn’s record since leaving Wrexham is impressive; 62 goals in 200 games across spells with Oldham Athletic, Burton Albion and Mansfield Town.
Wrexham saw Keillor-Dunn shine in the League Two promotion race last season but Mansfield have now lost his services.
Barnsley pounced with a deadline day deal, paying around £700,000 – according to the Yorkshire Post – for the attacking midfielder who left Wrexham on a free transfer just four years ago.
Tykes sporting director Mladen Sormaz has now praised Keillor-Dunn, telling Barnsley’s official website that he has signed a ‘top-quality player’ who can make a real impact in the final third.
“We are pleased to welcome Davis to the Club. It’s no secret that we have long been admirers of him as he is a top-quality player and provides us with further attacking options at the top end of the pitch,” said Sormaz. “We are confident that he will excel at this level, he has not taken the easy route to this point, but Davis has demonstrated the determination, enthusiasm, hunger we want in the building to help take the step to the highest level.
“Darrell, the board, the recruitment team and I were in constant communication, and we are all delighted the deal is finally over the line and thank everyone at the Club for what was a team effort,” he added.
When will Davis Keillor-Dunn face Wrexham?
Wrexham would have been primed to face Keillor-Dunn as a Mansfield player on the 9th of November, but the Stags will now travel to the STōK Cae Ras without him.
Instead, Keillor-Dunn will return to face Wrexham with Barnsley on Tuesday the 3rd of December.
The fixture list has thrown up some quirks and Wrexham will again face Barnsley less than a month later, travelling to Oakwell on New Year’s Day.
Barnsley sit seventh in the League One table right now and will have aspirations of another play-off push this season.
Barnsley and Wrexham may be in similar regions of the League One table for much of the campaign so these fixtures against Keillor-Dunn and co could be vital for Parkinson’s side.
