Phil Parkinson has confirmed Wrexham have spoken to Premier League clubs regarding summer transfers.
The 2025 summer transfer window opens on Sunday, June 1, and it’s going to be a busy one for the Dragons.
Phil Parkinson has already said that Wrexham have had talks with players as they eye improvements to their squad.
Players will leave the Welsh side this summer as well, the manager has said. But the main focus right now is on incomings.
Aaron Cresswell has been linked after it was confirmed he’d be departing West Ham United for free.
But it’s not just ageing top-flight stars who the newly promoted outfit have on their radar this summer.

Wrexham in talks for Premier League loans
Wrexham have made a habit of signing players aged 30 and above under Parkinson.
This level of experience has brought much success to the club, who have won three promotions in a row.
However, it now looks as though some younger talent could be on their way to the Racecourse Ground.
This comes with Parkinson confirming, as per The Athletic, that he’s been ‘touching base’ with Premier League loan managers.
He said: “The loan market is something we are looking at. It’s all about touching base with the Premier League loan managers, making sure we have an understanding of who could become available.
“A lot of those players (whose loan spells for 2024-25 have now ended) will probably go back and start pre-season with their clubs because managers like numbers around them for pre-season games. We can probably attract a better calibre of player than we’d have been able to do in the past.”

Why Wrexham loan signings have been limited
In the same interview, Parkinson explained why Wrexham’s loan signings have been limited since his arrival.
Arthur Okonkwo, who joined from Arsenal in 2023/24 before signing permanently last summer, is the only top-flight loanee to move to the Racecourse so far.
On the reason for this, Parkinson explained that Premier League sides are reluctant to loan out their ‘elite players’ to clubs in League One.
He said: “Premier League teams are reluctant to loan out their elite players into League One.
“You also have to remember that, with loan players, there’s a certain expectation they will play (for whoever is borrowing them).
“Sometimes from the clubs and sometimes from the player. It is about their development. You have to be careful of that. You have to make sure you don’t make false promises to a player. He comes in, doesn’t play, and you end up with a disgruntled player and a damaged reputation with a Premier League club.
“It has to be a player you believe can make an instant impact and is going to make a significant contribution as the season goes on.”
