Phil Parkinson has shared an insight into Wrexham’s transfer strategy for the upcoming transfer window.
Wrexham’s 2025 summer transfer window is set to get underway on June 1, 2025.
The window will be open briefly so that clubs can register new players for the upcoming Club World Cup before it shuts and reopens on June 16 until September 1.
While the window is not open just yet, the Red Dragons have already seen a plethora of players linked.
At the top end of the pitch, Wrexham want Callum Robinson and Ryan Hardie as they look to reinforce their attack with Championship-proven players.
Defensive reinforcements seem to be a priority as well, with Manchester United’s Jack Kingdon linked and the Welsh side competing with Birmingham City for Harry Darling.

Phil Parkinson hints at Wrexham transfer plan
Darling could reunite with Paul Mullin at the Racecourse Ground if he is signed at the end of his Swansea City contract.
The defender is out of contract in June and will be available on a free transfer – something Wrexham are seemingly keen to explore once more this summer.
Phil Parkinson has been discussing the club’s plans for the summer, as quoted by Leader Live on May 13.
When doing so, he confirmed the club will continue to keep their eye on players they can sign for nothing after having previous success on that front.
He said: “We have always got our eye on players who are free transfers and going to be available, and we’ll continue to do that.
“Recruitment is about getting a lot of tight decisions right and I felt we did that in January.”

Best Wrexham free agent signings
Perhaps the best free-agent addition at Wrexham in the last several years has been Mullin.
He’s scored over 100 goals for the club and cost them absolutely nothing after dropping down to the National League right after winning promotion to League One.
In more recent times, several players key to the 2024/25 season arrived in Wales for free.
George Dobson and Arthur Okonkwo were both signed for nothing in the most recent summer transfer window.
Elliot Lee, who finished as Wrexham’s top scorer this year, joined from Luton Town as a free agent back in 2022 as well.
