Wrexham are preparing for their final pre-season clash as they travel to the Netherlands to face Groningen.
Phil Parkinson is expected to hand debuts to four of his new signings, including club record transfer Lewis O’Brien.
The game will give the Wrexham squad one last outing to get some sharpness back into their play before the Championship season opener at Southampton the following weekend.
The Red Dragons are intent on making further additions in the market before that clash at St Mary’s and have been told that one player linked with a move to the club could have a positive impact on two of Parkinson’s current stars.

Wrexham transfer target Conor Coady would have positive influence on Max Cleworth and Lewis Brunt
Speaking on the latest episode of the ‘Rob.Ryan.Red’ podcast, journalist Rich Fay has been giving his verdict on Wrexham’s latest transfer target Conor Coady.
Wrexham have ‘approached’ Coady over a potential move to the Racecourse with Parkinson keen to add Premier League experience to his back three.
Fay stated: “I’ve always been a huge fan of Conor Coady, just the leadership he’s had, the way he conducts himself as a professional. He seems like a really articulate, intelligent person. He’s also done a bit of punditry as well hasn’t he?
“He’s always come across really well and he’s the type of player I think we said right back at the start of summer when we went for that list of free agents and stuff, or deals that we thought could happen,
“We both said, if there’s going to be one area that Wrexham go for an older player, it will probably be centre back because you can compensate that with the fact they’re alongside Brunt and Cleworth.
“He might not be the player he once was in that regard. What a signing he’d be. I think he’d be a superb addition to the Wrexham side because it’s the leadership he’d bring.”
Conor Coady would complete an excellent window for Wrexham
Wrexham have agreed a fee for Nathan Broadhead and it is expected that the Ipswich forward will become the club’s seventh acquisition this summer.
Having already bolstered midfield options and the versatility of Liberato Cacace being able to add strength in depth across the left flank, centre back is all that remains.

Coady has played nearly 200 games in the Premier League and also possesses a wealth of experience in the second tier with spells at Wolves and Leicester City.
Sitting at the heart of the back three would be a perfect role for the 32-year-old to use his intelligence, read the game and provide guidance to the young duo of Cleworth and Brunt.
Get Coady over the line and Wrexham will really start to believe that they can make a splash in this year’s competition.
