Wrexham fans aren’t overly happy with one of the names their side have been linked with this month.
The Red Dragons are going to improve their attacking options during the 2025 winter transfer window.
We revealed in early December that Wrexham are looking at Ethan Wheatley of Manchester United as an option.
More recently, a couple of Championship players have been tipped to make a move to the Racecourse Ground.
Harry Cornick is being linked with Wrexham after falling out of favour with Bristol City in the 2024/25 season.
Elsewhere, it was reported that the Red Dragons want Plymouth Argyle striker Ryan Hardie.
It’s claimed the hitman has a £2m release clause interested in his contract with The Greens, which Wrexham and League One rivals Huddersfield Town are said to be willing to pay.

Wrexham fans in complete agreement about Ryan Haride transfer
Hardie has made 20 Championship appearances for Plymouth so far this campaign but has scored just one goal.
This, combined with his reported seven-figure release clause has put Wrexham fans firmly off a transfer, with several taking to social media to let their feelings on a deal be known.
One fan wrote: “20 games, 1 goal and 2 assists. 2 million quid… Makes no sense whatsoever.”
A second added: “Hardly prolific is he,” with another writing: “Sooner spend half that and go for Kone.”
A fourth Wrexham fan stated: “If he’s not wanted by a team that’s on their way to being relegated to League One, why would Wrexham, a team looking to focus on investing not just for their time in league one, but also investing in guys who can move with them into the Championship, want him?”
“We can get better for £2m. He’s finished at Plymouth according to their fans,” a fifth added.
Two Wrexham fans also mentioned Sam Dalby and how he’s playing better this season.
One wrote: “It’s the same question I asked. I don’t see it; his teammate Andre Gray has also been linked to us. That doesn’t make sense either, with 13-3-1. Sam has at least 10 goals, but I am trying to figure out how he fits into the scheme.”
Another stated: “His recent record is pitiful. I’d take Dalby over him and that costs nothing. We need to be looking at better targets.”

What Sam Dalby has said about Wrexham future
Dalby has previously struggled to hold down a regular starting berth at Wrexham, being sent out on loan to Dundee United this term as a result.
However, the striker is now the top scorer in the Scottish Premier League this season with 10 goals.
The Red Dragons can recall the forward in January and Dalby has already commented on his Wrexham future.
He said last month: “Would I like to stay? [at Dundee United] Yes, definitely.
“It’s nice to hear the manager say he wants to keep me. That’s the sort of thing that has made me feel important and at home here.
“Would I be happy to open talks? Yes, of course. Obviously I don’t know what my situation will be but at the minute I am just trying to keep my run of form going and trying not to think too much about the future.
“At the end of the day, I can’t really control it yet. We have had a good start to the season, the team has been doing well and I have scored a few goals.
“I try to help the team as much as possible and I think I have done that.”
