Ryan Barnett has been in sensational form for Wrexham during the first half of the 2024/25 season.
Wrexham as a squad have been immense this campaign and could well be plying their trade in the Championship next year.
However, no one player has excelled more on an individual level than right-wing-back, Ryan Barnett.
The defender scored as Wrexham beat Wigan Athletic 2-1 on Sunday, taking his goal contribution tally for the season to nine – a remarkable return for a defender.
Barnett is competing with Mohamed Salah and Bukayo Saka this season and losing him would be a big blow for the Red Dragons.
As is to be expected given his form, however, the 25-year-old has attracted some unwanted attention from clubs in higher divisions of late.

Ryan Barnett makes stance on Wrexham future clear
Preston North End and Stoke City were keen on signing Barnett according to reports that emerged in October.
The Championship duo were not the only teams looking to take a punt on the League One star, however.
Rangers were linked with Barnet as well and unlike Wrexham, could offer the right-back a chance to play regular European football.
However, with the January transfer window now upon us, Red Dragons fans will be glad to see their star man making his future stance very clear, as per BBC Sport.
When speaking about his time at Wrexham so far, Barnett expressed hope that his stint in Wales will continue for a long time, seemingly ruling out any chance of a winter exit.
He said: “Ever since I’ve joined, there’s been so many highs. It couldn’t have gone any better if I’m totally honest.
“I’ve loved it. I feel at home here. Long may it continue.”

Wrexham must sign Ryan Barnett rival
While the wing-back is excellent and is apparently eager to stay put in Wales, it’s clear Wrexham need competition for Barnett.
The Englishman simply cannot play every game for the club this season and will need to be rested at some point.
However, the options behind Barnett are not great as Sebastian Revan has been poor since he joined over the summer and Luke Bolton probably isn’t at the level required to compete in League One.
In turn, while a new number nine and potentially some cover for Elliot Lee should be priorities in January, a new right-back must also be looked at.
