Wrexham may need to dip into the free agent market following a recent blow to Callum Burton.
The Red Dragons have had absolutely zero luck on the goalkeeper front this season.
Arthur Okonkwo picked up a wrist injury midway through November and is going to be out for a least a few more weeks.
Number two Callum Burton has since started Wrexham’s last four league matches, keeping clean sheets in two of them.
However, Burton suffered an injury vs Barnsley on Tuesday and is now facing a spell on the sidelines.
A baffling EFL rule has dealt Wrexham a blow when it comes to trying to sign a replacement for the 28-year-old.
In turn, the Welsh side should now turn to the free-agent market to find cover for Okonkwo and Burton for the next few weeks.
Granted, they would have to terminate Jon Dadi Bodvarsson’s contract – or Matty James’ but that’s very unlikely given how well he’s played.
But with the goalkeeper spot a much bigger concern than centre-forward right now, Dadi Bodvarsson may need to be sacrificed.
And we have picked out three free-agent shot-stoppers who can provide cover for Wrexham.

Three free agents Wrexham can now sign after Callum Burton blow
Loris Karius
Loris Karius is best known for his stint with Liverpool, for whom he made 49 appearances, including starting the 2017/18 Champions League final versus Real Madrid.
Wrexham being able to land such a high-profile keeper may seem far-fetched to some, but they have a history of doing so – signing Ben Foster when they were still in the National League and he had spent the previous campaign in the top flight.
Karius last played for Newcastle United in the Premier League before being released over the summer and could now follow in the footsteps of Foster.
Wayne Hennessey
A Welsh native, Wayne Hennessey began his career with Manchester City before going on to enjoy spells with the likes of Crystal Palace, Burnley and Nottingham Forest.
He went on to make over 180 appearances in the Premier League and a further 87 in the Championship.
Hennessey was released by Forest over the summer and while he is perhaps past his prime, the 37-year-old should be able to cope well in League One given the big drop in level from the top tier.

Jamal Blackman
Jamal Blackman is the least experienced option on this list but has already shown he can handle playing in League One.
The 31-year-old started his career at Chelsea but has since dropped down a few tiers after failing to make it with the Blues.
Blackman has played 52 League One matches previously, keeping a respectable 12 clean sheets.
He was most recently on the books of Wrexham’s upcoming opponents Burton Albion before his contract ran out in June.
