Wrexham could be in the market for another goalkeeper this summer after Phil Parkinson allowed three shot-stoppers to leave the club.
Promotions bring major changes to any squad, and Wrexham are certainly no different.
Phil Parkinson has masterminded three straight promotions and continues to evolve this Wrexham squad.
Paul Mullin has moved to Wigan Athletic on loan, while Will Boyle has joined Shrewsbury Town on a permanent basis.
Ryan Hardie is Wrexham’s only signing so far this summer, but more signings will be coming – and one could be imminent.
Reports suggest that Danny Ward will undergo a Wrexham medical ahead of finalising a return to his hometown club.

US pundit suggests Wrexham move for Matt Turner
Ward is expected to join Wrexham as the second-choice goalkeeper, offering backup to first-choice stopper Arthur Okonkwo.
Leicester City have released Ward this summer and the Welsh international is now set to return to Wrexham.
Okonkwo is a superb first-choice stopper and, in truth, Callum Burton would arguably be unlucky to drop behind Ward in the pecking order.
Wrexham have allowed three goalkeepers to leave the club this summer, with Mark Howard, Liam Hall, and Brad Foster all released at the end of their contracts.
Parkinson was always likely to pick up a new goalkeeper, and while Ward appears to be his man, another name has been suggested.
United States national team legend Tony Meola has told ESPN that he thinks Wrexham could be a fine move for Matt Turner.
31-year-old Turner joined Arsenal in 2022 before joining Nottingham Forest a year later, where he ended up being benched.
Now heading back to Forest after a loan spell with Crystal Palace, Turner desperately needs minutes again after just 17 league outings in the last three years.
Meola thinks a move to Wrexham could work out as long as Turner is given promises of playing time ahead of the World Cup next summer.
Meola highlighted Arthur Okonkwo’s role at Wrexham but feels a move could work out – especially in terms of showcasing Turner on ‘Welcome to Wrexham’.
“If he plays every week, yeah, it would be an okay move,” said Meola.
“He’d have a lot of work to do. Matt Turner has got to play every week from here on out, so we need him to get better.
“It would make sense for Wrexham, because it fits the storyline and I think it would be good for the documentary. I wonder how Matt Turner would feel about going to the Championship, because what we’ve learned is that, in general, he wants to stay in the Premier League or Ligue 1, if that happens or doesn’t happen, we don’t know.
“He’d have to play. Who knows how they think about Okonkwo, this is a young kid who was at Arsenal, Arsenal didn’t see a need for him. In Matt Turner’s case, no matter what, the key is to play and he would certainly fit the whole narrative in my opinion,” he added.
Danny Ward may make more sense than Matt Turner for Wrexham
ESPN report that Turner was set for $9million (£6.5million) move to Lyon, though the French side’s financial problems mean that deal is up in the air.
American pundits would love to see one of their own pull on the Wrexham shirt and represent the rise under Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.
A move for Turner just doesn’t add up in this instance, though, especially at that £6.5million asking price.
Okonkwo is Wrexham’s clear first-choice goalkeeper and splashing that kind of cash on another stopper just isn’t a priority.
Ward is at least available on a free and may be willing to pay second-fiddle to Okonkwo, having played a similar role at Leicester City.
The wait for Wrexham’s first American player in the McElhenney and Reynolds era goes on, as Turner contemplates his next move with a switch to Lyon in doubt.
