Jack Marriott could leave Wrexham for Reading
After rumours emerged that Jack Marriott is wanted by Reading, Wrexham fans took to social media to react.
They suggested that while he doesn’t have a future at the Racecourse, he could still do a job in the third tier.
One fan wrote: “Not really got a future here. Wish him all the best.”
A second fan responded: “I’ll drop him off for you lads.”
“That would be a great move for him,” tweeted a third.
Another Wrexham fan added: “Good move for him. There is still goals there for him as a number 1 in L1.”
Some Reading fans have shared their thoughts also, with one writing: “Would be a great move! Hope it’s true!” and another stating: “Much rather have Palmer.”
Jack Marriott Wrexham stats
Marriott joined Wrexham from Fleetwood Town for an undisclosed transfer fee in February 2024.
He struggled somewhat during his first half-season at the Racecourse, netting one goal in 17 matches as the Dragons secured promotion from League Two.
Marriott had a much better start to 2024/25 and earned praise from Rob Mac after he scored on the opening day versus Wycombe Wanderers.
However, the 30-year-old suffered an injury in October and was out of action for several months.
In total, he has seven goals and one assist in 48 appearances across all competitions for Wrexham, playing a role in their two most recent promotions.
