Wrexham are set for Championship action this weekend, and Phil Parkinson is still tweaking his squad for the new campaign.
This has been a busy summer of comings and goings for Wrexham, as Phil Parkinson prepares for the challenge of Championship action.
Eight new faces have arrived, with Kieffer Moore’s move from Sheffield United being the most recent addition earlier this week.
New signings bring departures as well, and we saw Paul Mullin join Wigan Athletic on loan earlier this season.
Steven Fletcher was also let go early in the summer, and with Moore now on board, another striker is on the move.

Port Vale announce Mo Faal move
A loan move for Mo Faal always appeared likely this summer.
Wrexham pounced to sign Faal on deadline day last year, striking a permanent deal to bring the young striker in from West Bromwich Albion.
The Athletic noted that Faal was Wrexham’s record signing at the time, with a £500,000 deal agreed.
Faal had shown promise on loan at Doncaster Rovers and Walsall in the 2023-24 campaign, bagging 13 goals in 45 games.
Wrexham saw potential in Faal, but first-team opportunities were difficult to come by in his first season at the STōK Cae Ras.
If Faal was struggling for action in League One, then his prospects in the Championship didn’t look much better.
Wrexham have now agreed a deal to send Faal out on loan to Port Vale, allowing him to spend the season with the League One side.
Faal scored against Vale in the EFL Trophy last season and seemingly made a lasting impact on boss Darren Moore.
Speaking on Port Vale’s official website, Moore admitted his excitement after signing Faal, branding the Wrexham striker ‘promising’.
Moore believes Faal will be a ‘great option’ in the Vale attack, and he can’t wait to assist the striker in his development.
“We’re really pleased to add Mo to the group. He’s a promising young player with strong attributes, who will provide another great option for us at the top end of the pitch,” said Moore.
“Along with all of the players and coaching staff, we’re looking forward to working with him this season and continuing his development here at Vale Park,” he added.
Phil Parkinson on Mo Faal exit
Faal struggled for minutes last season, and a loan to League One will hopefully do him the world of good.
That is certainly the verdict of Wrexham boss Parkinson, who has admitted that he is ‘delighted’ to see Faal secure a loan move.
Speaking on Wrexham’s official website, Parkinson claimed that a number of League One clubs have been trying to sign Faal.
Parkinson still believes in Faal’s potential, and believes the move to Port Vale is perfect as boss Moore is a ‘terrific manager’.
“I’m delighted for Mo. There were several League One clubs that wanted him on loan this season,” said Parkinson.
“He’s a player we feel that has potential, and we’re looking forward to watching him develop under a terrific manager in Darren Moore,” he added.
Faal will return to Wrexham next summer and will hope to push for more first-team action after his campaign in League One.
