Wrexham should be keeping a very close eye on one Burton Albion player in their fixture this weekend.
The Red Dragons picked up their third-straight home win earlier this week, beating Barnsley 1-0 at the Racecourse Ground.
This followed on from big victories over fellow play-off hopefuls Exeter City and Lincoln City.
Wrexham are now just one point off first place in League One going into Saturday but will need to overcome their away demons if they are to beat Burton Albion.
Burton’s interim boss has sent a rallying cry ahead of Wrexham, with his men currently 23rd in the division and staring relegation in the face.
However, The Brewers did pick up an impressive 1-0 win over Peterborough United in their last outing and may fancy their chances of causing an upset on December 7th, especially if one of their players is in top form.
Wrexham should scout Burton striker Danilo Orsi
With January fast approaching, the Red Dragons are looking to improve their striking ranks.
We revealed on Thursday that Wrexham want to sign Ethan Wheatley from Manchester United for the second half of 2024/25.
But given Phil Parkinson and co. are facing competition for the 18-year-old, they must keep their options open over the next few weeks.
One player they should really be taking a closer look at is Danilo Orsi, who is expected to lead the line for Burton this weekend.
Despite their struggles this term, Orsi has managed to find the net six times and provide two assists in League One.
Grimsby Town star Max Crocombe previously dubbed Orsi ‘incredible’, as per the Grimsby Telegraph, and he would be a really solid addition to Wrexham’s forward line.

Wrexham’s search for a new number nine is not too surprising given how few goals their current options are scoring.
Jack Marriott has been out of action for two months now but his five goals in League One make him the club’s top scorer still.
The likes of Paull Mullin and Ollie Palmer are simply not scoring enough but with Orsi already finding the net six times in a much worse side, it’s likely he could hit double figures in the second half of 2024/25 for a good team.
