One Wrexham forward is closing in on his departure just three years after he initially joined the club.
Wrexham are set to make several changes to their squad as they gear up for the 2025/26 Championship season.
One department that is set to be transformed is the forward line, with several players likely to move on. Phil Parkinson will want to ensure he has Championship quality in the final third, and that has led to some having their stay at the Racecourse Ground cut short.
Steven Fletcher has already departed Wrexham, whilst Paul Mullin could also follow him out of the door at the Racecourse Ground.
A third forward looks set to cut his tenure short as well with his medical set to take place at a League One side.

Wrexham forward Sam Dalby set for Bolton Wanderers move as medical takes place
After spending the 2024/25 season on loan at Scottish Premiership side Dundee United, Sam Dalby is set to move to Bolton Wanderers following the conclusion of his contract at Wrexham.
Dalby endured a brilliant campaign north of the English border, and despite seemingly doing enough to impress Phil Parkinson, with Wrexham offering him a new deal, he turned it down for pastures new.
The latest update with Dalby sees him take his medical with League One outfit Bolton Wanderers, per Pete O’Rourke on X.

Sam Dalby’s future has been confirmed after what he said in January
Back in January this year, Parkinson was debating whether to recall Dalby amid his fine spell at Dundee United.
The Wrexham forward was made surplus to requirements at the start of the campaign, one of the drawbacks of having such a bloated selection of strikers to choose from. This came back to haunt Parkinson and Wrexham as Dalby was not convinced that he would be handed the game time he deserved, and that reflected his decision not to renew this summer.
When asked about his future in January, Dalby said: “I’ve not heard anything, yet. It’s the January transfer window and I don’t know when they can call me back. We will see.
“I just want to play, and this [Dundee United] is a great place to be. We are doing well and I’m scoring goals. I’m happy.”
Arguably, it is a missed opportunity for Wrexham not to be able to keep hold of such a solid goalscorer, but they must move on and ensure their front line will be Championship quality by the time the season swings around.
