Wrexham are exploring a number of options to bolster their squad ahead of their first Championship campaign in 43 years.

Wrexham are interested in Davis Keillor-Dunn, a player who was allowed to leave the Racecourse Ground back in 2020 for free.

Despite having recruited Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez back in January, Phil Parkinson is keen to add to his attacking options once again.

Parkinson wants to add pace to his side and one transfer target the club have been linked with possesses the attribute in abundance – he also once scored a winning goal against footballing royalty in Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets.

Sunusi Ibrahim outshone Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets

Wrexham are interested in Sunusi Ibrahim from MLS outfit CF Montreal and the striker has already picked up an impressive scalp during his career.

Back in October 2024, the striker scored the winning goal in a 3-2 victory over Inter Miami – a team that possesses a certain Lionel Messi.

Messi did not feature during the game however, Suarez and Busquets were involved, alongside former Barcelona teammate Jordi Alba, who got himself on the score sheet for Miami.

It was Ibrahim that stole the show with a left-footed strike 12 minutes from time to seal the victory for his side and the Red Dragons will have noted that performance.

Wrexham can take advantage of Sunusi Ibrahim’s Montreal troubles

Ibrahim is out of favour at CF Montreal and Wrexham could use this to their advantage in any potential swoop for the Nigerian this summer.

Taiwo Awoniyi praised Ibrahim and predicted a bright future for the striker at international level, therefore if Parkinson can pick him up for around £370k, it could be seen as a masterstroke.

The 22-year-old isn’t having much luck this season, having only appeared seven times and is yet to contribute a goal or assist.

His lack of form may work in Wrexham’s favour though as the club could negotiate a lower fee with CF Montreal seemingly running out of patience with the young talent.
