With the January transfer window fast approaching – Wrexham are seemingly in the market for a new striker.
Jack Marriot’s injury and Steven Fletcher’s fitness issues has seen the Red Dragons fail to lock down their striker slot so far this season.
This has seen the Welsh side linked to a whole host of forwards with EFL pundit Liam Grice recently urging Wrexham to sign Liverpool’s Jayden Danns.
Recent weeks have also seen Wrexham heavily linked with Manchester United’s Ethan Wheatley.
When it comes to weighing up Wrexham’s striker targets though, it seems like one target in particular is doing their best to catch the attention of Ryan Reynolds and co.

Ethan Wheatley scores again for Man United amid Wrexham interest
Wrexham have been no stranger to entering the loan market in recent times – with their acquisition of Arthur Okonkwo from Arsenal a perfect example.

The Red Dragons could be tempted into another temporary deal this January – with Wheatley a viable option.
Wayne Rooney is said to be a fan of Wheatley and the 18-year-old has been on fire so far this season for Man United youth sides – scoring again this weekend against Southampton in a 5-1 win.
The youngster’s goal against the Saints makes it 6 in 8 so far this season in the Premier League 2 – a scoring record that Phil Parkinson must take note of.
Ethan Wheatley’s stats could tempt Wrexham into move
The striker’s form has unsurprisingly caught the attention of a number of clubs up and down the pyramid with League One rivals Stockport County also said to be interested in a loan move.
Carlton Palmer believes Stockport have the edge in signing Wheatley suggesting Wrexham may have to make a move quickly if they want to secure the youngster’s signature.
