Wrexham are one step away from the top flight of English football.
Wrexham are the odd team in the Championship next season by being the only club to have never tasted top division football but owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are determined to change that.
Wrexham’s ultimate goal is to reach the Premier League and the owners have vowed to be ‘aggressive’ in the summer window to provide Phil Parkinson the resources to do that.
Tom Cairney is considering Wrexham’s offer and the club are also targeting other Premier League players like Craig Dawson and Ben Davies. One transfer target has recently achieved what Reynolds and McElhenney crave…

Wrexham target Lewis Travis earned Championship promotion with Ipswich
Wrexham are interested in Lewis Travis and the Blackburn captain could be available for a cut price fee with the midfielder having just one year remaining on his contract.
Travis is highly thought of by former managers and was described by John Eustace as ‘an outstanding leader’.
It could be the perfect signing for Parkinson to add to his midfield options and Travis also has a recent experience of gaining promotion from the Championship.
Travis spent the second half of the 2023-24 season on loan at Ipswich Town and made nine appearances on the way to a second place finish under Kieran McKenna.
Lewis Travis is a smart move for Wrexham
Wrexham are linked with a host of players this summer and there is no doubt that multiple signings will come through the door at the Racecourse Ground.
However, Travis would represent a smart piece of business. The 27-year-old is entering the prime of his career and has bags of experience in handling the rigours of the second tier.

Furthermore, Travis is clearly an excellent character in the dressing room and the exact type of personality that Parkinson likes to have within his squad.
A hunger to win and a desire to give everything for the cause, the Red Dragons cannot go wrong with this signing if it is one that gets over the line.
