Wrexham are in action against Bristol Rovers on Good Friday, and The Wrexham Insider team have come together to offer up their score predictions for the game.
Last weekend was not a good time for Wrexham, with the Red Dragons dropping points against Wigan Athletic in a 0-0 draw.
Meanwhile Wycombe Wanderers closed the gap between second and third to just one point, leaving Wrexham sweating over the final run-in.
Still, Phil Parkinson knows what his team need to do; win their final four games and they’re heading for the Championship, it’s as simple as that.
Looking ahead to the weekend’s action, The Wrexham Insider team has put their heads together to offer their expert opinion on how the next game will go, with comprehensive score predictions for Wrexham vs Bristol Rovers.

Experts deliver Wrexham vs Bristol Rovers score predictions, a clean sheet is nailed on
George Light – Wrexham 2-0 Bristol Rovers
Expect Bristol Rovers to sit deep and make the game scrappy as they look for vital points in their fight against relegation and Wrexham’s patience will be tested.
Phil Parkinson’s side didn’t cope with the expectation of being on the front foot against Wigan but with a home crowd behind them, they will eventually wear the Rovers defence down. Second half strikes from Sam Smith and Ollie Rathbone will secure the three points.
Josh Barker – Wrexham 1-0 Bristol Rovers
I do expect a Wrexham victory, given the match is at the Racecourse and Bristol Rovers have lost their last five League One fixtures.
However, like so many of Wrexham’s games this season, it’s probably going to be tight and require a brief moment of magic from someone like Steven Fletcher to break the deadlock.
Jack Gallagher – Wrexham 3-0 Bristol Rovers
After a rather toothless performance against Wigan last weekend, Wrexham certainly have a point to prove on Good Friday. And up against the most out-of-form team in League One in Bristol Rovers, they have the perfect opportunity to do exactly that. Expect an easy win for Parkinson’s men, with Sam Smith potentially bagging a brace.
Jakob Barnes – Wrexham 1-0 Bristol Rovers
Things are getting pretty cagey at this time of year, and Wrexham will really have to grind this one out against a team that desperately need a few more points to keep themselves in the division. They certainly won’t have it easy here Wrexham, but I also cannot see them being threatened at all, either, so a clean sheet feels nailed on.
After that stalemate last weekend, the Red Dragons will be eager to show they have some bite, and I do expect them to find the back of the net. But, we shouldn’t bank on a high-scoring affair, so I’ll go 1-0, with Sam Smith proving the difference between the two sides.
Luke Phelps – Wrexham 2-0 Bristol Rovers
Huge game for both sides. Bristol Rovers won’t write themselves off after drawing 1-1 with the Dragons earlier this season and Wrexham will have those run-in nerves to contend with, too.
Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez really need to step up and show their quality and experience this weekend; the latter especially with fans not all that impressed.
I’m expecting Bristol Rovers to be doing a lot of defending so the onus will be on the Wrexham strikers to take their chances when they come. I’ll go with a 2-0 Wrexham win.
Olly Dawes – Wrexham 2-0 Bristol Rovers
Bristol Rovers are one a six-game losing run, and after a frustrating attacking display against Wigan Athletic, this is the kind of game Wrexham simply must win.
The Pirates will look to frustrate Wrexham, and we saw Burton Albion do a fine job of that for 70 minutes earlier this month.
Wrexham must remain patient and not get too disheartened if an early goal doesn’t arrive, but I think the quality is there to secure a 2-0 victory and begin a crucial Easter period in style.

Who are Wycombe Wanderers playing this Friday?
So, a clean sheet seems a certainty for Wrexham, and three points appear to be on the cards, if you ask us. But, what about their promotion rivals Wycombe?
The Chairboys are up against Bolton Wanderers on Friday, but away from home against another play-off chaser, they’ll not have it easy.
| Pos | Club | Pld | W | D | L | GF | GA | GD | Pts |
| 1 | Birmingham City | 40 | 29 | 8 | 3 | 73 | 29 | 44 | 95 |
| 2 | Wrexham | 42 | 24 | 10 | 8 | 59 | 32 | 27 | 82 |
| 3 | Wycombe Wanderers | 42 | 23 | 12 | 7 | 67 | 37 | 30 | 81 |
| 4 | Stockport County | 42 | 22 | 11 | 9 | 63 | 37 | 26 | 77 |
| 5 | Charlton Athletic | 42 | 22 | 10 | 10 | 58 | 38 | 20 | 76 |
| 6 | Reading | 42 | 19 | 12 | 11 | 59 | 51 | 8 | 69 |
All things considered, it’s a real opportunity for the pendulum to swing in Wrexham’s favour once more. And, if Wycombe do lose and Wrexham win, the Red Dragons will really fancy their chances of going up with a four point gap going into the final three games.
Still, Wycombe have been ‘galvanised’ recently by people writing them off, so let’s not be too quick to label this a foregone conclusion.
