Wrexham are back on the road on Sunday afternoon, as Phil Parkinson takes his side to face Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.
Wrexham are certainly in must-win territory now.
Phil Parkinson was left frustrated on Friday afternoon, as Wrexham only managed a 1-1 draw against Bristol Rovers.
Wrexham just never seemed to get going and Matty James’ second-half leveller at least ensured Parkinson didn’t taste defeat.
Wycombe Wanderers beat Bolton Wanderers 2-0, meaning they now leapfrog Wrexham into second place.
Wrexham have just three games to move back above Wycombe, so nothing less than victories will do for Parkinson.

Wrexham wanted Blackpool danger man Niall Ennis
Monday’s trip to Blackpool will not be easy.
Blackpool have lost just once at home since October 19 and have lost just three times in total across 20 games in 2025.
Steve Bruce’s side will pose a major threat on Monday and striker Niall Ennis will be a man to watch.
Wrexham wanted Ennis at the back end of last summer, with the striker seemingly available from Stoke City.
Modou Faal joined Wrexham instead and represented a different type of striker; height and aerial ability over pace and movement off the shoulder.
Ennis was stuck at Stoke, but the January transfer window saw Blackpool pounce for a loan deal until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old has racked up six goals in 15 League One games, providing a real threat in the Blackpool attack.
For comparison, only five Wrexham players have managed six or more League One goals across the whole season, so for Ennis to hit that mark in just 15 games shows his goal threat.
Parkinson was seemingly well aware of Ennis as Wrexham eyed a summer move, and he will be looking to keep the Blackpool striker quiet on Monday.
Steve Bruce on Niall Ennis
Ennis is only on loan at Blackpool and boss Bruce has admitted his intention to keep the striker permanently.
Speaking to the Blackpool Gazette, Bruce suggested that he would like conversations with Stoke over keeping Ennis.
Bruce feels the move has worked out well for everybody and believes Ennis is enjoying his time on the seaside.
“He’s done very well Niall, he’s enjoyed his football here. We’re delighted with what he’s done for us, so let’s have conversations and see what we can do,” said Bruce.
“The move had done him the world of good and put him back in the spotlight, and he’s scored a few goals for us.
“I’d like to keep him if I could, but we’ll see what happens. We’ve got to be mindful of the fact that he belongs to Stoke, so if there’s a deal to be done, let’s see what we can do.
“I think he’s just enjoying it here, but in the next week or so I’ll have a sit down with him to see what his thoughts are, but Stoke are the ones we’ve got to get back first,” he added.
We can’t see Wrexham going for Ennis if Championship football is secured, but he could be a great option if Parkinson can’t seal promotion.
Ennis is proving his quality in League One and would offer something different to Wrexham’s attacking options, so he may be one to keep tabs on even after Monday’s game ends.
