Wrexham have just brought in a new striker but one forward linked with the club in August is enduring a testing season in the Championship.
Wrexham wanted one more striker signing before the transfer window closed back in August.
Phil Parkinson was happy with Ollie Palmer, Paul Mullin, Steven Fletcher and Jack Marriott as his striking options but wanted one more.
Wrexham signed Modou Faal on deadline day, landing the young striker in a permanent move from West Bromwich Albion.
Signed as a project, Faal certainly needs some patience at Wrexham but injuries to Marriott and Fletcher have forced Parkinson back into the market again.
Free agent Jon Dadi Bodvarsson has arrived until January with the Icelandic forward offering cover until January.

Former Wrexham target barely featuring for Stoke City
Wrexham had other options when signing Faal though and Niall Ennis was thought to be on the radar.
Reports on deadline day suggested that Wrexham wanted to sign Ennis from Stoke City before the window closed.
Barnsley were also linked with enquiries allegedly being made for Ennis.
The window closed with Ennis still at Stoke and looking for a new opportunity under Steven Schumacher – the man who coached him at Plymouth Argyle.
However, Schumacher was sacked just a couple of weeks after the window closed and Ennis has completely faded out of the plans.
Ennis hasn’t started a single game for Stoke since Wrexham’s interest and was even an unused substitute against Southampton in the EFL Cup on Tuesday.
Ennis has played six times in the Championship this season but all as a substitute and totalling just 92 minutes of action.
Since the transfer window closed, Ennis has only played 51 minutes in the Championship – and that’s in two months.
It seems pretty clear that Ennis simply isn’t in the plans under Narcis Pelach and a January exit is surely on the cards for the ex-Wolverhampton Wanderers striker.
Wrexham may keep tabs on Niall Ennis
Bodvarsson has already praised boss Parkinson and is looking to make an impact in the coming months in an attempt to earn an extended contract.
Much will depend on how Marriott and Fletcher return from injury, but Ennis may be one to keep an eye on in the future.
The 25-year-old has previously impressed at League One level, scoring 12 times in 38 games for Plymouth Argyle in the 2022-23 season.
Moving to Blackburn Rovers and now Stoke hasn’t really worked out for Ennis but he would offer something different to the Wrexham attack with his pace in behind.
Wrexham now have six strikers on the books but with Ennis completely out of the picture at Stoke, he is surely a name on Wrexham’s radar for future striking additions.
