Wrexham will know that their hard work done against Stockport County will be for nothing if they cannot come away with three points against Exeter.

Wrexham beat Exeter 3-0 at the Racecourse Ground earlier in the season and the game marked Ollie Palmer’s last league goal for Wrexham.

With the Red Dragons currently three points ahead of Wycombe, Aaron Mclean backs Wrexham for promotion but Phil Parkinson will warn his side of any complacency.

Wycombe host Lincoln City in what will be another pivotal round of fixtures but Wrexham can only concentrate on doing their job in a tricky away fixture in League One.

Wrexham team news

Parkinson revealed George Dobson played through injury in the clash against Stockport but will be hoping the midfielder can recover to take on Exeter.

Andy Cannon has a ‘long road ahead’ on his recovery from an acl injury but the Wrexham manager had revealed no new injury worries ahead of the vital game.

Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer continue to be left out of the matchday squads and their involvement in the reserves game recently would suggest that is set to continue.

Wrexham v Exeter prediction

Exeter come into the game unbeaten in six games and will certainly be no pushovers for Parkinson’s side. The hosts have edged themselves away from relegation troubles and will now look to push on.

Wrexham though come into this game knowing the importance and high on confidence following their excellent recent run of five clean sheets in six games.

It won’t be easy for the Red Dragons but another 1-0 win could be on the cards with Sam Smith set to be the goal scoring threat once again up top.
