Wrexham secured another big victory on Tuesday night, beating Lincoln City 1-0 thanks to Tendayi Darikwa’s own goal.
Wrexham are so good at home and Saturday’s 3-0 win over Exeter City was a huge boost after losing to Stockport County.
Phil Parkinson was looking for another home win on Tuesday night but Lincoln City posed a real test.
The Imps have started the season well and sit just one point outside of the League One playoffs.
Wrexham were certainly given a tough game on Tuesday night but manage to grind out a 1-0 victory.
Tendayi Darikwa’s own goal proved to be the winner for Wrexham as he couldn’t sort his feet out and turned Man of the Match James McClean’s delivery into his own net.

Lincoln City boss on Wrexham defeat
Wrexham had to stand strong late on and Lewis Brunt has earned praise for his ‘exceptional’ defending against the Imps.
Lincoln did have their chances but couldn’t take them as they became the latest side to lose at the STōK Cae Ras.
Imps boss Michael Skubala was expecting a fierce atmosphere and has now spoken after seeing his side lose to Wrexham.
Speaking on Lincoln’s official website, Skubala has suggested that Lincoln ‘outplayed’ Wrexham on the night.
Skubala feels that his side did a great job in a ‘tough’ away game, believing that his tactical plan worked perfectly on the night.
Skubala was frustrated with the outcome in the end, believing that his side deserved much more from the game.
“It’s a tough place to come, they’re up near the top of the league, and I felt we outplayed them, and our tactical plan worked really well,” said Skubala.
“We managed the game really well, kept the crowd quiet and did everything but score really. We used the ball really well and switched play well.
“It’s frustrating for everybody because we have to start winning games and picking up points. At the end of the day you have to take your chances. We’ve got to keep working hard, keep working to try and get through it, and keep demanding from ourselves. When we review the game we know we’ve played well but ultimately we want points,” he added.
Wrexham have part of a strong formula
Wrexham will no doubt play better than this and probably lose; that’s just the way it goes over a long League One season.
The signs are strong though as Wrexham are just so good at home.
Wrexham have dropped just two points at the STōK Cae Ras this season and nobody fancies a trip to North Wales right now.
The magic formula is usually win your home games and pick up points on the road.
Wrexham can certainly improve on that second part, but part of the formula is right there.
Add in Wrexham’s ability to grind out a difficult win, like against Lincoln City, and Wrexham have the makings of a very good League One side.
