Wrexham are back in League One action on Tuesday night as Lincoln City visit the STōK Cae Ras for a rescheduled clash.

Wrexham beat Exeter City 3-0 on Saturday afternoon but are straight back into action once again on Tuesday night.

Lincoln City visit the STōK Cae Ras on Tuesday night with Wrexham hoping for a repeat of the weekend victory.

Rob McElhenney praised Phil Parkinson for Saturday’s win whilst goalscorer Max Cleworth earned praise from Wrexham fans for his display.

Wrexham’s original clash with Lincoln was postponed in October as international call-ups put paid to that fixture.

This rescheduled clash gives Wrexham a chance to pick up another home victory but Lincoln will be a tough proposition.

Lincoln City boss on Wrexham squad

Lincoln are now in their sixth straight League One season and have secured three top-half finishes in that time.

The Imps sit seventh in the League One table, just five points behind Wrexham after seven wins, five draws and four defeats in 16 games.

Lincoln are a strong League One side and will pose problems for Wrexham as Phil Parkinson seeks another home victory.

Imps boss Michael Skubala has now offered his verdict on the Wrexham squad ahead of the trip to North Wales.

Speaking on Lincoln’s official YouTube channel, Skubala suggested that Wrexham ‘know what they are’ and have a defined style both in and out of possession.

Skubala has watched Wrexham on a number of occasions this season and feels that his side must try to match the maturity of Parkinson’s experienced Wrexham squad.

“They’ve come up as a group, generally, from League Two and done really well,” said Skubala.

“I’ve watched them three or four times this season, they’ve very mature in the way they play and they know what they are; they know how they want to defend, they know how they want to attack.

“They’re very aggressive and a lot older, and they know how to manage games. I think what they’re really good at is managing games of football and getting three points; they’re a lot older in that sense.

“We’re going to have to be mature in the way we want to play, but we’re going to have to use our youthfulness as well to try and push the game and try and affect the game as much as we can,” he added.

Michael Skubala on Wrexham fans

Wrexham fans will turn out in force once again and will be looking to help continue an impressive home record this season.

Wrexham have dropped just two points at home this season and nobody has left the STōK Cae Ras with three points so far this term.

Lincoln would love to ruin that record and Skubala is expecting a ‘lively’ atmosphere from the Wrexham fanbase.

Skubala hopes that his Lincoln side can take control once the game settles down, calling on his side to come out ‘fighting’ against Wrexham.

“I think when we manage the start of games well, we’re in games,” said Skubala.

“It might not always look pretty and it doesn’t always have to, but when we start games well and we manage games well at the start, whether we’re home or away, we generally are very good in games.

“It’s no different here. We know what the atmosphere is going to be like, we know they’re going to chuck it on us to start and put us under pressure and we have to make sure that we’re ready for that and we have to make sure that we come out of the blocks fighting for everything, and then when the game settles, hopefully we can try and get some control.

“For sure, it’s going to be a tough place, it’s going to be a lively crowd, and they’ll want three points because they know that pushes them up,” he added.
