Wrexham picked up a superb away win on Saturday afternoon, beating Rotherham United 1-0 thanks to Paul Mullin’s early goal.
Wrexham returned from the international break with a trip to face Rotherham United as Phil Parkinson chased better fortunes on the road.
Before heading to Yorkshire on Saturday, Wrexham had claimed just one win in five away League One games this season.
One point from a double header at Leyton Orient and Stevenage meant Wrexham fans were looking for a response at Rotherham United.
Wrexham certainly did that and grabbed a 1-0 win thanks to Paul Mullin’s goal inside the first 20 seconds of the game.
Rotherham boss Steve Evans complained about the refereeing but Wrexham will not mind one bit after a fine victory.

Rotherham United goalkeeper on Wrexham
Wrexham were without the injured Jack Marriott but Mullin stepped up with the early goal after a fine week of training.
Add in the clean sheet and this was a fine afternoon for the Wrexham fans, whose sheer noise impressed Humphrey Ker.
Wrexham had to withstand plenty of pressure from Rotherham but stood firm to claim all three points and a clean sheet.
Rotherham goalkeeper Cameron Dawson has now offered his verdict on Wrexham whilst speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield.
Dawson was beaten early on by Mullin’s goal but felt that Rotherham ‘played some good stuff’ against Wrexham.
Dawson noted that Rotherham simply couldn’t afford to give Wrexham an early goal but praised the Wrexham back line for defending so well.
The shot-stopper added that there is ‘nothing spectacular’ about Wrexham but form a really workmanlike unit who play as a team to get the results.
“The early goal is obviously a far from ideal start to the game, a really disappointing goal to concede on a few fronts,” said Dawson.
“After that, we grew into the game really well and played some good stuff, had some good spells but, at the end of the day, you can’t give a team like Wrexham a one-goal head start. They’ve got some big boys that want to go and defend their box for them and they had to do that and they did do that to be fair to them.
“You look at those boys today, they’re at the top of the league but… nothing spectacular about them, they were really workmanlike and efficient in what they did,” he added when asked about the level required to compete at the top of League One.
Wrexham can frustrate League One teams
Rotherham had plenty of the ball and created chances on goal but just couldn’t find the net.
That has been the case for a number of League One teams this season with Wrexham providing a wall at the back.
Wrexham have conceded just eight goals in 11 League One games this season and three of those came at big-spending Birmingham City.
Only three teams – Exeter City, Stevenage and Wigan Athletic – have conceded fewer goals than Wrexham In League One this season.
Dawson may feel that there is nothing spectacular about Wrexham but Parkinson should be proud of the unit he has created, a team who fight for each other until the last.
Many teams would love that team spirit and Wrexham have something special in that regard – even if it isn’t viewed as being particularly enthralling.
