Many Wrexham fans have sent a clear message to Phil Parkinson after the 1-0 defeat to Stoke City.

Sorba Thomas fired Stoke in front after 36 minutes thanks to a poor clearance from Kieffer Moore and a lacklustre attempt at a save by Arthur Okonkwo.

After that, the Red Dragons never really looked like they would equalise despite all the changes from Phil Parkinson in the second half.

Wrexham lost 1-0 to Stoke, extending their winless run to four matches. Fans now have a message for their manager post-match.

Wrexham fans unhappy with Phil Parkinson after losing to Stoke City

The manner in which their side lost has caused much ire from the Dragons faithful, with many taking to social media to hit out at Parkinson for his tactics, with some even calling for him to go.

One fan wrote: “Horrific showing today. Need to figure something out. Parkyball isn’t working.”

A second also questioned Parkinson’s tactics: “Not at the races. In a relegation scrap already after 33m spent…? Tactics and ability lacking.”

“Can’t believe how poor we are, ——- woeful going forward. Big away following and a performance like that so poor. Never looked like scoring. Way we set up was like watching paint dry, Parkinson will drag us in a relegation fight if not careful,” suggested another.

A fourth added: “Dismal…Embarrassing…—- Coaching!! We will be lucky to stay in this league at this point.”

Another Wrexham supporter simply tweeted: “Parky out,” with a sixth echoing: “As Claude once said it’s time to go Parky.”

Wrexham have backed Phil Parkinson already

This is not the first time in 2025/26 that murmurs about the 57-year-old’s future have arisen.

There were reports after the 3-1 defeat to Queens Park Rangers that Parkinson was under pressure.

However, Shaun Harvey backed the Wrexham manager and dismissed those claims in an interview the following week.

He said: “It’s not even been on anywhere near an agenda as yet [Parkinson’s future].

So, you know, listen, if that day comes, the decision has to take and be taken. But, you know, Phil’s our man. We’ve backed it. We’ve backed him from the start. We backed him from four years ago. We’ve had all the success under that regime. Why should we start panicking now?”
