Wrexham take on Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night and Paul Mullin may have something of a point to prove at the STōK Cae Ras.
Wrexham fans couldn’t wait for the international break to end and for good reason.
Phil Parkinson’s side produced a superb display at Rotherham United on Saturday, claiming a 1-0 win in the process.
Paul Mullin was the goalscoring hero as he converted Ryan Barnett’s cross inside the first 30 seconds.
Mullin came in for the injured Jack Marriott and took his chance having impressed Parkinson in training.
There is little rest for Wrexham right now though as Parkinson prepares his side for another big game on Tuesday night.

Whereas Wrexham travelled to Yorkshire to face Rotherham on Saturday, Huddersfield Town will be making the reverse journey.
The Terriers sit sixth in the League One table and are a great test for Wrexham right now.
Wrexham beat one relegated side on Saturday and will be keen to repeat the trick against Huddersfield.
One player will be very keen to impress though with Wrexham’s hero Mullin coming up against his former club.
Mullin hails from Merseyside and spent his early years in the ranks at Everton and Liverpool before being snapped up by Huddersfield as a 17-year-old.
Mullin was simply never given a chance to shine though and was released in 2014 without ever making a first-team appearance.
A loan spell with Vauxhall Motors didn’t improve Mullin’s first-team prospects and he rather quietly left Huddersfield at the age of 19.
That paved the way for Mullin to go and score goals for Morecambe and ultimately put him on the path to stardom at Wrexham.
Huddersfield simply wasn’t meant to be Mullin’s home as Wrexham is to him now and he would surely love to show the Terriers what they are missing.
Mullin on Huddersfield
Mullin has spoken about Huddersfield ahead of the game and admitted that he wants to ‘haunt’ his former club.
Well, it is Halloween season after all.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Mullin suggested that he enjoyed his time at Huddersfield but wants to take them down having never actually played against them.
“I had a good couple of years at Huddersfield,” said Mullin.
“I’ve never played against them before so hopefully I can try to come back and haunt them on Tuesday night,” he added.
It’s more than 10 years since Huddersfield let Mullin go and nobody could have expected him to become such a household name.
Yes, featuring for a team owned by two Hollywood celebrities helps raise your profile, but Mullin still has to get the job done on the pitch.
That has certainly been the case since Mullin joined Wrexham in 2021 and there are surely many more goals to come from him – hopefully starting with Huddersfield.
