Wrexham welcome Bristol Rovers to the Racecourse Ground hoping to secure a vital win on the road to promotion.
Elliot Lee is embracing the ‘nerves’ as Wrexham head in to their last four fixtures knowing that League One promotion is firmly in their hands.
Phil Parkinson was ‘choked’ the last time his side faced Bristol Rovers as an early strike from Lee was cancelled out in the 86th minute to deny the Red Dragons three points.
Missed chances were the reason for dropping points that day and the likes of Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez will need to be clinical when opportunities do fall at the Racecourse Ground, especially against a side on a slippery slope.

Bristol Rovers worst in League One on current form
Parkinson knows there are no easy games in football and especially with so much riding on three points in North Wales however, he should look to take advantage of a lack of confidence within the opponents.
Inigo Calderon’s side are currently the worst team in League One having lost six games on the bounce and have fallen into a real relegation scrap.
| Bristol Rovers current form | Result |
| March 15th: Lincoln away | Lost 5-0 |
| March 22nd: Crawley away | Lost 1-0 |
| March 29th: Mansfield home | Lost 2-1 |
| April 1st: Birmingham home | Lost 2-1 |
| April 5th: Bolton away | Lost 1-0 |
| April 12th: Exeter home | Lost 2-1 |
Rovers now sit fourth from bottom, in the relegation zone on goal difference from Burton Albion, who have a game in hand.
It may make Wrexham’s task even tougher however, as Rovers will be scrapping for every second ball and every minute of the game as they try to preserve their status in the division.
Wrexham could be promoted on Easter Monday
Whilst the Wrexham squad will just be focussing on the clash with Bristol Rovers, there is a scenario that could see the Red Dragons secure promotion at the end of the festive weekend.
Should Parkinson’s side beat Bristol Rovers and then Blackpool on Easter Monday and Wycombe lose away at Bolton and at home to Charlton, then Championship football would be confirmed if Stockport and Charlton failed to win both of their games.
| Wrexham’s festive fixtures | Wycombe’s festive fixtures | Stockport’s festive fixtures | Charlton’s festive fixtures |
| Bristol Rovers (H) | Bolton (A) | Peterborough (A) | Northampton (H) |
| Blackpool (A) | Charlton (H) | Huddersfield (H) | Wycombe (A) |
The Red Dragons will also be keen to strengthen their goal difference as they currently trail Wycombe by three in that area.
Lee could start in midfield in order to provide more of an attacking mindset to the line up however, Parkinson has gone into his last six league games with the same starting eleven.
