Wrexham return to action once again on Tuesday night as Phil Parkinson prepares to face Crewe Alexandra in the EFL Trophy.
League One takes a back seat on Tuesday night as the attention turns back to the EFL Trophy.
Wrexham coasted through the group stage, beating Salford City and Wolverhampton Wanderers Under-21’s before a draw at Port Vale.
Finishing top of the group handed Wrexham a home tie in the first knockout stage with Crewe Alexandra the opponents.
A spot in the last eight of the Northern section is up for grabs and Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson will have plenty to consider.
Wrexham injury news
Wrexham have a number of injury problems for Parkinson to worry about right now.
Arthur Okonkwo remains out of action whilst Callum Burton picked up an injury against Barnsley last week.
The fear is that Burton will miss the rest of the season, serving another blow to Parkinson’s goalkeeping ranks.
Steven Fletcher is back from injury but Jack Marriott remains out of action and won’t be back until 2025.
George Evans has been sidelined of late but was back running in training last month and is gearing up for a comeback.
The same goes for midfielder James Jones, who may hope to feature against Crewe.
Will Boyle and Luke Bolton both suffered pulled calf muscles a month ago, so may still be a couple of weeks away from returning.

The issues between the sticks mean that new signing Brad Foster may be required to start.
Wrexham won’t want to take any chances with Mark Howard right now, especially having seen Burton’s injury this time a week ago.
Parkinson often makes a raft of changes for EFL Trophy games so we will assume the same again ahead of this weekend’s clash with Cambridge United.
That means Aaron James could start again with Dan Scarr in the middle of the back three and Thomas O’Connor on the left side.
Luke Bolton’s injury means that left-footed Sebastian Revan may be needed at right wing back, paving the way for Jacob Mendy to start on the left.
Josh Adam started at Port Vale in Wrexham’s last EFL Trophy game and will hope to start again here.
Anthony Forde isn’t registered for league action but has given great service in the EFL Trophy with another start surely in mind here.
Wrexham are unlikely to take chances on George Dobson, Ollie Rathbone or Matty James in this game, given their superb league displays of late.
That means Andy Cannon may need to start unless Evans or Jones are able to start in the engine room.
Modou Faal needs minutes and should lead the line alongside Paul Mullin, who is still looking for the big moment to kickstart his season.
Parkinson loves using Steven Fletcher from the bench whilst Jon Dadi Bodvarsson will hope to feature at some stage.
