Wrexham play host to Birmingham City in a League One fixture on Thursday, January 23rd.
The Red Dragons have not had the best January on the results or transfer front.
Wrexham lost to Barnsley earlier in the month and most recently fell to a shock 2-1 defeat at the hands of bitter rivals, Shrewsbury Town.
The Welsh outfit now face what is arguably their toughest test of 2024/25 – taking on table-topping Birmingham City.
Birmingham are already five points clear at the top of League One and still have two games in hand on Phil Parkinson’s side.
On the bright side, Wrexham are undefeated at the Racecourse Ground in the league since March 2024.

Wrexham team and injury news vs Birmingham City
For once, Wrexham don’t have too many injury concerns heading into their latest fixture.
Elliot Lee returned to the starting eleven last week, as did Ryan Barnett after a one-game absence.
Lewis Brunt missed Shrewsbury but Parkinson has suggested ahead of this week’s game he could make a return.
Elsewhere, Jack Marriott made his first appearance since October on January 16th and is seemingly back in contention.
Callum Burton is a long-term absentee but outside of the goalkeeper, Wrexham’s injury list is short.

Wrexham predicted lineup vs Birmingham City
With Wrexham still underperforming on the goal front, it would not be surprising to see Marriott in from the off in midweek.
His goal return – five in 10 – is by far and away the best of any player this season and given the magnitude of this game, the 30-year-old should probably be starting ahead of Paul Mullin and Lee.
Lee’s just not been good enough in his striking role but he is still a quality asset and will likely drop back into his more natural midfield role.
Meanwhile, George Dobson could come back into the midfield three as his work rate will be crucial against a team like Birmingham.
The other changes to the eleven should see out-of-form Eoghan O’Connell dropped and Dan Scarr given his first start a couple of months, while Brunt will take Tom O’Connor’s spot if he’s fit enough.
Here’s how we think Wrexham will line up against Birmingham on Thursday evening:
Arthur Okonkwo (GK)
Max Cleworth, Dan Scarr, Lewis Brunt
Ryan Barnett, Matty James, Elliot Lee, Ollie Rathbone, Jacob Mendy
Jack Marriott, Steven Fletcher
