English football continues to garner more and more attention from US-based names, with another figure looking to join the growing list of investors, which already includes Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have been Wrexham co-owners since February 2021, following a takeover from the club’s Supporters Trust.
Since they bought the Red Dragons, the number of US-based names invested in the EFL has grown a great deal.
Just this year, rapper Snoop Dogg invested in Swansea City, who are competing with Wrexham in the Championship.
Tom Brady is involved with Birmingham City, and his team will clash with the Dragons early next month.

Now, another US-based name has been trying to buy an English club this week.

Brooklyn Earick wants to buy Tottenham Hotspur
It’s not just the EFL that has seen American investment rise in recent years.
Todd Boehly is now the chairman of West London giants Chelsea following Roman Abramovich’s exit.
Now, the Blues’ London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, have been subjected to a takeover bid this week.
The Sun reported that US-based tech guru Brooklyn Earick, who is a former DJ, is leading a US-based consortium, which includes NFL and NBA owners, to try and buy Spurs.
It is understood that Earick and his group were willing to purchase the club for £3.3bn and spend a further £1.2bn on recruitment, wages and agents’ fees.
However, Tottenham have now released an official statement, as quoted by the Sun, confirming a bid has been rejected.
They wrote: “The Board of Tottenham Hotspur Limited is aware of recent media speculation and confirms that its majority shareholder, ENIC Sports & Developments Holdings Ltd, has received, and unequivocally rejected, an informal expression of interest in relation to a proposal to acquire the entire issued, and to be issued, share capital of the Club from a consortium led by Mr Brooklyn Earick.
“The Board of the Club and ENIC reconfirm that Tottenham Hotspur is not for sale and ENIC is not looking to sell its stake in the Club.”

Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac net worth
A £3.3bn takeover would have been the biggest in the history of English football.
It’s pretty crazy money compared to the £2m Reynolds and Mac paid for Wrexham four years ago.
The Dragons still want to grow as a club, though, with their North American owners looking to sell a stake at a £350m valuation.
They already have investment from the Allyn family, while Rob and Ryan aren’t doing too badly for themselves.
Celebrity Net Worth reports that Reynolds has a net worth of $350m, while the same website lists Mac’s net worth at $50m.
