Wrexham supporters have agreed that Phil Parkinson has unleashed the best out of both Kieffer Moore and George Dobson so far this season.
Wrexham have endured a challenging start to the 2025/26 Championship season, with Phil Parkinson’s side sitting 21st in the table.
The Red Dragons went into the international break with optimism after they notched their first Championship win away at Millwall, but they were brought back down to earth after Wrexham lost to QPR at the Racecourse Ground.
Following the crushing defeat in North Wales, discussions amongst the Wrexham hierarchy about Phil Parkinson have taken place, as Wrexham Insider exclusively confirmed.
The poor display against QPR saw many players struggle, but two players stood out as top performers, in spite of the result that has left Wrexham one place above the relegation zone.

Wrexham fans praise Kieffer Moore and George Dobson
There were few positives to note for Phil Parkinson’s side in their loss against QPR, but the silver lining was Kieffer Moore getting himself on the scoresheet yet again.
Moore has now scored four goals in five appearances, meaning the Welsh international bagsman has notched half of Wrexham’s Championship goals so far this season.
While Moore’s performances make him an obvious early contender for player of the season, another Wrexham star who has impressed supporters is George Dobson.
Via X, the Racecourse Ramble posted a photo of both Moore and Dobson, alongside the statement: “Our best 2 players so far this season and it’s not even close.”
This appeared to be a popular view amongst fans, as one said that ‘only them two and O’Brien did a job for us’ against QPR, while another said that they ‘agree 100%’.
Another supporter said: “Step up from Dobson has been great. Honestly would not have put money on it, but he looks better at Championship standard.”
George Dobson 2025/26 stats
Wrexham midfielder George Dobson has been a consistent operator in the centre of the park so far this season, having averaged a 7.45 rating in the last four Championship matches, according to SofaScore.
In the entire season, Dobson has managed an average of 61.6 touches on the ball, while achieving an impressive 71% pass accuracy when in the opposition half.
However, his biggest contribution has been defensively, managing an average of 3.4 tackles, 3 balls recovered and 1.6 clearances per game, notably committing zero errors leading to shots.
What the stats do not show is that Dobson has been a reliable workhorse this season so far, covering every blade of grass, and that effort does not go unnoticed by the Wrexham faithful.
